Lintwood Farm Chapter Eight

Here is Chapter Eight, enjoy x

Chapter 8

The winter cold soon turned to spring, the tree out in the driveway blossomed with bright pink flowers, newly born lambs slowly walked around the fields with their mothers. Back at the house Jennifer and Lindsey were in their room packing a suitcase, Lindsey was singing to herself,
"I get to go London to see my Dad at war, to see my Dad at war"
"Lindsey please" Jennifer said
"Sorry, I'm just so excited to see Dad" Lindsey replied
"Me too, I can't wait" they both smiled and giggled at each other,
"Right are you both ready to go" Martin entered the room
"Yes all packed" Jennifer said closing the suitcase.

They all headed down to the train station to catch the train to London, Chrissie who had never been on a train before was very excited. As it pulled up she jumped up and down. They boarded the train at the nearest carriage and sat down. Chrissie kept looking out of the window, eyes filled with amassment,
"You'd think she had never seen the country before" Jennifer said looking at her,
"Actually she's never been on a train before" Ellie told her
"Oh right"

They arrived in London and headed straight to where Ian was staying,
"Dad" Lindsey shouted and ran up to her dad and gave him a big hug,
"Hello beautiful" he said hugging her tightly
"I missed you Dad"
"I've missed you to sweetheart"
"Hi Dad" Jennifer hugged Ian who then hugged his son,
"Hi son" he said
"Hi Dad, how's things"
"There good, a bit emotional out there. I pray to God you don't end up out there, it's the one place where I would hate you to be"
"Dad, I hope I don't either, they really need me at the farm"
"I know" Ian turned to Nicky "Oh Nicky come here, I am so, so sorry" he gave her a big hug
"Thank you Ian" Nicky smiled. Ian turned to Nicky's children and smiled,
"And how are you three"
"We're fine thank you Ian" Ellie replied.
They all went and sat down in a cafe just down the road from where Ian was staying,
"Yes we will have two pots of tea and four glasses of orange juice please" Ellie said as they all sat down at a large table,
"So what's new with everyone" Ian asked
"Well Dad, erm, me and Ellie are a couple now" Martin told his dad,
"Really, that's great" Ian hugged his son again and also hugged Ellie "this is great news, we were always hoping you two would get together" he smiled.
They all had a great talk and told Ian everything that happened to them from Ellie talking over the shop to Chrissies birthday,
"So after signing the contracts for the shop I am now a shop owner" Ellie finished
"And I help out" Jennifer put in with a smile,
"Jenny that's great to hear" Ian congratulated his daughter,
"Yes it is, it means I'm on hand at the farm instead of in the village" Martin told Ian,
"I'm just going to pop to the lady's room" Nicky said as she got up,
"So how's she doing" Ian asked after Nicky had walked off,
" Not good, she keeps spacing out every now and again and spends all day everyday tending to the vegetable garden, it's why Jenny is now helping down at the shop so Martin is working on the farm otherwise we both are exhausted all the time" Ellie said
"She keeps saying she's going to try harder but she never does" Martin put in
"Wow I know how you all feel and how Nicky feels..."
"Ian we know you don't have to explain"
"Nicky returned to the table,
"So what are we all talking about" she asked, everyone gave an awkward look,
"Ellie" a voice from behind said "oh my god it is you"
"Brenda" Ellie jumped up when she saw her friend and gave her a big hug "how are you"
"I'm fine, hey there's a table come talk to me before Cameron gets here"
"Is he the soldier"
"Yes, so catch up time"
Ellie looked at her family,
"Ellie go, it's fine" Martin said encouraging her. Ellie and Brenda sat at a nearby table and talked over everything  that had happened
" Ellie I'm so sorry I couldn't be there to support you or even just to talk"
"It's ok, I've had Martin around, he's so amazing, he's so supportive and has taken on the farm full time"
"Wow that's great, are you still working at the shop with Mrs. Fleming"
"Well actually she has handed the whole shop to me"
"Wow Ellie, that's great, is Mrs Fleming ok" Brenda asked
"She died two weeks ago"
"Oh Ellie I'm so sorry"
"It's ok, I knew she was dying, she told me when she gave me the shop" Brenda hugged her best friend.

Ellie looked out of the window of her hotel room, London looked just the same as it did before the war even though it had been bombed a few times by the enemy,
"Hey beautiful" Martin appeared behind her
"Hey sweetie" Ellie walked towards him and kissed him, he kissed her back and put his arms round her.
They woke up the next morning, the sun was peeking through the curtains as they lied next to each other in bed. Martin stroked Ellie's arm and kissed her shoulder, the moment was perfect so peaceful and warm. Ellie looked at the clock on the wall, it was only two hours before they had to catch their train back home, she snuggled up against Martin and gave a little smile.

Walking towards the train station Ian told Lindsey not to worry about him as she was now starting to get worked up again like she did before Ian went to war,
"But dad what if a bomb gets dropped on you or you get shot or, or..."
"Lindsey I will be fine I promise and even if I do get shot or something like that doesn't mean I'm going to die" he knelt down to her level "Lindsey I promise I won't die"
"Yes but Chrissie's dad did, anything can happen"
"I know sweetheart, I know" he gave his daughter a hug.
They approached Kings Cross station in time for their train. Ian waved them off. Lindsey sat in silence the whole way home, she sat staring out of the window wanting to cry. Martin sat next to her and put his arm round her, she collapsed against him and started crying,
"Come on Lindsey it's ok" he told her
"Here you go Lindsey" Chrissie gave her a tissue
"Thank you Chrissie" Lindsey dried her eyes as the train raced ahead towards home.

It was raining by the time they reached Lintwood Village. They all walked home carrying their suitcase through the pouring rain up the road to the farm. As they approached the house Meg started to bark and jump up at the window, Ellie let everyone in though the front door. Meg jump up at them all,
"Meg down" Chrissie told her "good girl" she gave her a pat as she calmed down. Martin put the fire on in the living room whilst everyone else changed into dry clothes. Ellie went into the kitchen to find a note from Farmer Michaels from the meat farm  a few fields over who had kindly been looking after the animals whilst both families has been in London,
"Who's Farmer Michaels" Martin asked,
"He's the farmer who's been looking after our animals the past few days, he owns the meat farm a few fields over"
"Ah right" Martin put the kettle out the stove,
"Yeah he's very generous with his offers when buying our sheep unlike other farmers" Ellie told him "Martin are you going to get changed" she asked
"Yes after everyone else is sorted" he kissed her
"Martin you will catch a cold, go get changed, I've got everything covered down here" she told him
"Are you sure"
"Yes now go get changed" Martin smiled at her and left the room to go get changed. Ellie made everyone  cup of tea or hot cocoa to warm everyone up,
"Yay Hot Coco" Chrissie said excitedly "thank you Ellie" Ellie handed out the cups and put Martins on the coffee table. She went back into the kitchen to make dinner,
"What's for dinner sweetheart" Nicky asked coming into the kitchen
"Left over's" Ellie replied
"Shall I set the table"
"No it's ok, I'm going to let them eat on their knee tonight"
"Ok is there anything I can do"
"No Mum it's fine, I'm ok" Ellie smiled at her mum as she left the room.
"Hey is everything ok" Martin walked into the kitchen
"Everything's fine" Ellie replied kissing him, he put his arms around her and held her tight "I made you a cup of tea, it's in the living room with the other,
"Thank you beautiful" Martin kissed her on the forehead and left the room. Ellie carried on making dinner, she reached for the cupboard and took out seven plates and dished up dinner,
"Dinner time" she said walking through to the living room "you can eat on your knee tonight"
"Thank you Ellie" they all said
"Can we put the radio on please" Jennifer asked
"Of course" Ellie replied
Jennifer put on the radio and they all listened to a comedy show as the ate. Martin cleared up after dinner as everyone else set up a card game for everyone to play,
"Can we play snap please" Chrissie asked
"No let's play Gin" Louis said
"Can we play Blackjack or Poker" Jennifer put in
" How about we see how many games we can get though" Ellie said "starting with Fish". They all sat down and started to play, Martin came back in half way through the first game of Fish.
By ten o'clock Chrissie and Lindsey were nearly asleep
"Right I think it's time for bed" Nicky said, she got up and started to guide Chrissie and Lindsey to bed. Everyone else followed. Martin tooked his sisters into bed and told them that everything would be alright,
"Dad's going to be fine you know and if he does get hurt then they will bring him home to recover and I'm not going anywhere ok I promise" Lindsey and Jennifer smiled and closed their eyes to go to sleep. Martin left their room and went to see Ellie,
"Hey Beautiful" he said as he made his way towards her bed,
"Hey sweetie" he sat next to her "how are you feeling after seeing your dad" Ellie asked,
"I'm fine, I understand what is going on and why he has to go out there but Lindsey and Jenny don't especially Lindsey she's too young"
"Martin I know, it is so hard, it's the same with Chrissie" Martin had taken her hand and softly caressed it,
"I didn't know how hard it was going to be, we weren't around for the great war" Ellie said leaning against Martin's shoulder,
"I know"
"You think with my Mum around things would be a little bit easier and it was but then dad died and things got so much harder and I don't  know what to do anymore"

"Everything is going to be ok Ellie I promise, you've got me now and I'm not going anywhere" Martin kissed Ellie and put his arm around her. They both settled in to Ellie's bed and fell asleep.

Lintwood Farm Chapter Seven

Here is Chapter Seven

Chapter 7

The new year came in quick and Chrissie was soon excited about her upcoming birthday,
"I'm nearly 6" she shouted as she ran round the house "only one week to go"
"Is she always like this" Martin asked Ellie as they sat in the dining room
"Yes, well for the last two years she has" Ellie replied as she sipped her tea "oh is that the time, I've got to get to the shop, Mrs Fleming hasn't been feeling well lately so I really want to get there"
"Ok beautiful, want me to walk you down there "
"No it's ok, but you can pick me up later as it's going to be dark by then"
"Ok, I'll see you later beautiful" Martin saw Ellie off at the door. Ellie walked down into the village, it was a cold day with a gentle wind in the air . When she got to the shop she saw Mrs Fleming taking to a man in a suite,
"Good afternoon Mrs Fleming" Ellie said as she walked into the shop
"Good afternoon Ellie, glad you have arrived, this is my solicitor Mr Harrison, Mr Harrison this is my shop assistant Ellie Pickard" Mrs Fleming introduced them to each other,
"It's nice to meet you Mr Harrison"
"You too Miss Pickard" they both shook hands,
"So Ellie the reason Mr Harrison is here is that I have decided to hand the shop over" Mrs Fleming told Ellie
"Oh my god, why" Ellie asked
"I'm getting old Ellie and I'm getting to the point where I need to rest"
"Ok well I hope you are feeling ok and who are you giving the shop too"
"Well I was hoping you would take it Ellie"
"What, me, really"
"Of course you know how to run the shop and how everything is done"
"Of course I will take over the shop, I'd be honoured" Ellie gave Mrs Fleming a hug and signed the papers.

Martin met Ellie outside the shop at closing time. It was dark and colder than this morning, Martin put his arm around Ellie to keep her warm,
"So how was your day" he asked as they walked home
"Well Mrs Fleming signed the shop over to me, I am now a shop owner"
"Ellie that's wonderful" Martin hugged her and spun her around then kissed her.
When they arrived home Ellie told everyone else the good news,
"Ellie that's amazing news" Nicky hugged her daughter then broke out a bottle of wine to celebrate,
"Mum where did you get that" Ellie asked
"Me and your father got a couple of bottles in before the war, when it started we decided to save them for a special occasion which I think this is don't you" Nicky said pouring the wine into glasses. They all toasted Ellie and celebrated together.
After everyone had gone to bed Ellie wondered into Martins room,
"Martin" Ellie poked her head round the door
"Hey beautiful what's up" he sat up and turned on his lamp
"Err I need to tell you something"
"What is it" Ellie sat next to Martin
"I know why Mrs Fleming decides to pass on the shop"
"Why"
"She's dying"
"What"
"Yeah, she only has a few months left"
"Oh Ellie I'm so sorry" Martin gave Ellie a hug as she began to cry "everything's going to be ok, I promise"

"It's my birthday" Chrissie ran into her mother's room "Mummy, mummy I'm 6 today"
"I know sweetheart Happy Birthday" Nicky gave Chrissie a big hug. Chrissie ran downstairs with Nicky in tow and went in to the dining room,
"Happy Birthday" Everyone shouted as Chrissie entered the room. On the table laid breakfast ready to be eaten and Chrissies birthday presents sat in the middle of the table. Chrissie shrieked with excitement as she walked towards the table,
"Right now the birthday girl is here time for breakfast" Ellie said
"No, no, no presents first, food later" Chrissie said in excitement as she reached over and grabbed one of her three presents. She ripped the wrapping apart with one big pull,
"A new jumper, big and woolly just the way I like it" Chrissie pulled the jumper over her head and out her arms through the sleeves "who's it from" she asked
"You do this every year Chrissie" Ellie said
"Do what"
"Rip the wrapping paper off before you read who it's from, see look, it's from me and Louis" Ellie showed Chrissie the label on the wrapping paper,
"Oh yeah, thank you Ellie, thank you Louis" Chrissie hugged her brother and sister, she then reached for another present and tore the paper off,
"Oops I forgot to read the label" Chrissie laughed
"It's from us three" Martin said
"Oh thank you, It's a new dress thank you so much" she hugged them all, she then opened the last present from her mum
"Peter Rabbit books yes" she shouted in excitement "thank you mummy" she gave her mum a big hug.
After breakfast Chrissie changed into her new dress and showed everyone,
"What do you think" she said as she spun into the room,
"Very pretty" everyone said
"Right we've got to get going" Ellie said to Martin,
"Oh yes we do"
"Martin, you're helping down at the shop" Nicky asked
"Yeah Mrs Fleming is really ill at the moment"
"Of course, well have fun, no funny business" Nicky laughed
"Oh mum we know how to be professional" Ellie said putting her coat on " we'll see you later, don't forget to pick up the cake from the bakery" Ellie told her mum as she walked out of the door with Martin,
"I won't" Nicky replied

Ellie and Martin walked down the road hand in hand,
"Martin, how did you afford Chrissie's dress" Ellie asked
"The same way you got her jumper, I used my clothing coupon"
Ellie smiled at him and they carried on walking,
"I really hope she remember the cake"

"Thank you, please take care" Ellie said to her last customer of the day. Ellie locked the door as Martin was tidying up,
"It's been a good day hasn't it" Martin said
"Yes it has" Ellie smiled at him "I'm going to go check on Mrs Fleming before we leave"
"Ok beautiful" Martin smiled as Ellie headed up stairs. Martin carried on tidying up when there was a knock at the door, Mr Brown the baker stood at the door,
"Good evening" Mr Brown said as Martin opened the door "I have young Chrissie birthday cake, I think Mrs Pickard forgot to pick it up"
"Oh thank you Mr Brown, I'll make sure it gets to them"
"Thank you" Mr Brown turned and walked back to his bakery, Ellie came back into the shop
"Who was that" she asked
"Mr Brown, your mum forgot to pick up the cake" Martin showed her the cake, Ellie sighed
"I don't believe this, she forgot the one thing I asked her to do. Ok let's get home" Ellie grabbed her coat and walked out the door.

They both walked through the door and hung up their coats, Ellie walked into the kitchen and put the cake on the counter in front of her mum who was making a cup of tea,
"Oh god Ellie I'm so sorry, I completely forgot" Nicky began,
"You think, I can't believe you did that, it's Chrissie's birthday"
"Ellie I know I've said I'm sorry, you know how hard it'd been for me these past few months"
"Hard for you, what about us, your children, it's been hard for us too I mean I've not only been working at the shop but also been trying to keep the farm going whilst you've been giving full attention to your Vegetable garden and spacing out every other day, if Martin hadn't been here god knows what would have happened to the farm"
"Ellie I know I'm so sorry, I am but.."
"I know you are trying to cope in your own way but we need you and you're not helping at all, I gave you one thing to do and you let me down"
"I know I'm so sorry, I will try harder I promise"
"You said that at new year, Chrissie wouldn't even have a present from you if it wasn't for me" Ellie by now had lowered her voice so Chrissie didn't overhear,
"Ellie it isn't just words this time, I will try harder I promise"
"Sort the cake and dinner out, I'm going for a lie down" Ellie left the kitchen and went up stairs. She lied on her bed and sighed as a tear rolled down her cheek. She turned her head and looked at a photo of her dad that sat on her bedside table,
"Oh dad I wish none of this had happened, I wish you were still here" she said out loud,
"Ellie" Jennifer stood in the doorway,
"Jenny are you ok" Ellie sat up,
"Yes, I was just wondering if you were" Jennifer asked walking towards the bed,
"I'm fine, just little tired"
"Is there anything I can do to help"
"Not at the moment, I'm going to have a little sleep now"
"Ok Ellie, I will see you in a bit" Jennifer shut the door on the way out and headed back downstairs,
"Is Ellie ok Jenny" Chrissie asked as she entered the living room,
"She's fine she's just a bit tired" Jennifer walked over to Martin and put her hand on his shoulder
"Hey Jenny what's up" Martin asked as he saw her
"I've been thinking, maybe I could help Ellie down at the shop so you can stay and help out with the farm" she suggested
"Jenny are you sure"
"Yes I heard the argument" Jennifer whispered
"You know that would be great, I'll talk to Ellie when she wakes up" Martin hugged his sister, then went to check on Nicky.
"Hey Nicky how's it going" Nicky had already laid out the table and put the cake in the middle. Nicky was in the kitchen putting together dinner,
"Martin, everything is fine, dinner is nearly ready" Nicky replied, Martin looked at her, "Martin what is it"
"Nothing, it's nothing" he turned to walk away
"I'm going to try harder, I will, it's not just words"
"Prove it, then I will believe it"

"Yay, birthday dinner" Chrissie said in excitement as everyone entered the dining room,
"Hope you enjoy it Chrissie" Ellie said having just woken up, Chrissie smiled. They all sat down to eat and sang 'Happy Birthday' to Chrissie who had the biggest smile on her face.

Later after everyone had gone to bed, Martin snuck into Ellie's room to find her not there. He quietly walked downstairs to find her tidying up the kitchen and dining room,
"Ellie what are you doing, I thought your mum was going to do this"
"Yeah, I told her to go to bed" Ellie replied
"Why"
"I really don't know, I just wanted to do it myself"
"Ellie go to bed, I'll do it"
"Martin, I'm fine really"
"Ellie" Martin took Ellie in his arms and kissed her "Ellie please go to bed, you are exhausted" he looked at her

"Ok, ok I'll go to bed" Ellie kissed him then went upstairs to bed as Martin carried on cleaning up.

Lintwood Farm Chapter Six

Chapter 6

Christmas morning, Chrissie jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to see what was under the Christmas tree. As she was doing that Martin had woken up as well and made his way into Ellie's room. Ellie was still asleep. Martin laid on the bed next to her and put his arms round her. He started to kiss her right shoulder and her neck and made his way up to her lips,
"Um" Ellie made of soft gentle noise as she woke up and opened her eyes,
"Good Morning beautiful" Martin said as he saw her beautiful deep blue eyes
"Mmm good morning Martin" they kissed "wasn't expecting you like this"
"Well you better get used to it" Martin said nuzzling her neck
"Ok" Ellie lied against him.
"Wake up, wake up" Chrissie ran around the house waking everyone up "he came, he came, come on Louis, he came" Chrissie ran into Ellie's room " Ellie, Ellie he came, he came, oh good morning Martin"
"Good Morning Chrissie" Martin said as Chrissie jumped on the bed
"What time is it" Jennifer asked as everyone came into Ellie's room, Ellie and Martin sat up
"It's 8:15 Jenny" Ellie replied
"He came, he came" Chrissie continued
" Father Christmas" Lindsey asked
"Yes he came, let's go open presents" Chrissie jumped off the bed and ran back downstairs with Lindsey. Nicky smiled as they ran passed her. Nicky, Jennifer and Louis followed with Ellie and Martin not far behind them.

"Look, look mummy, I got my doll" Chrissie waved a doll she had just unwrapped around in the air,
"That's very nice" Nicky replied,
"I like my hat, scarf and gloves Ellie" Lindsey thanked Ellie as she wrapped herself up in them,
"Me too thank you Ellie" Jennifer said as well,
"Mum what is this" Louis held up his present from his mother
"It's a pocket watch Louis" she replied
"Oh really, wow" He opens it "To my dearest Louis, now as a young man it is about time you had your own pocket watch. Merry Christmas son, Love Dad" he read out the message inside it,
"Your father bought it for you before he went away, I found it when I tidying a few weeks ago and decided to give it to you as a present" Nicky told her son. Louis gave his mother a hug,
"I love it, I really do"
"Hey look it snowed" Ellie said as she opened the curtains in the living room,
"Yay" Lindsey and Chrissie shouted with excitement and ran upstairs to get dressed.

Chrissie and Lindsey ran around outside, throwing snowballs, making snow angels and snowmen. Jennifer joined them once she was dressed,
"Jenny, Jenny lookout Chrissie's going to throw a snowball at you" Lindsey warned Jennifer as she walked down the path towards the drive. Chrissie through a snowball at her which hit her on the upper left arm,
"Oh, Chrissie I am so going to get you back for that" Jennifer picked up a hand full of snow, rolled it up into a ball and through it at Chrissie. Nicky was watching them from the dining room window and smiled as they ran around the drive. Ellie was in the kitchen prepping the vegetables for Christmas dinner,
"Hey Mum, would you like a cup of tea" Ellie said putting the knife that she had in her hand down,
"Oh that would be lovely sweetheart, if we have any tea left, we don't get any more until Monday" Nicky replied
"Yes we have tea, we just don't have any milk and we have no coupons until next week" Ellie said looking into the fridge
"Black tea it is then" Nicky walked into the kitchen
"Hey the animals are feed" Martin said as he walked in with Louis
"Hey sweetie" Ellie ran up to him and kissed him
"So how's you beautiful" Martin asked Ellie as he held her in his arms,
"I'm fine, a bit bummed we have to drink black tea until next week due to no milk"
"We have no milk, what are we going to have for breakfast then" Louis asked
"Bubble and squeak" Nicky replied
"What's that"
"Leftovers fried up together Louis"
"Oh"
"Ok can't we just milk one of the cows" Martin asked
"No the milk from the cows are for the factories. Besides dad being dad made us promise that we wouldn't keep any for ourselves even if he did die" Ellie explained
"What about the eggs then"
"We don't sell eggs sweetie"
"Ah right"

"Dinner will be ready in ten minutes you three, so get yourselves cleaned up now" Ellie called out to the three girls playing outside,
"Yay" Chrissie and Lindsey shouted running towards the house. They all ran upstairs and changed their clothes. Chrissie also slipped into her cosy wool jumped to keep warm. Sat around the table everyone tucked into their dinner and ate every last bit,
"Mum, Ellie that was brilliant, so yummy" Louis said putting his fork down on his empty plate
"Thank you Louis" Ellie replied
"What about the leftovers in the kitchen" Jennifer asked
"We will have them for breakfast, bubble and squeak it's called" Nicky said as she started to clear the table "right you four time to clean the kitchen"
"Ok Mummy" Chrissie leaped down from the table and ran into the kitchen followed by everyone else leaving Ellie and Martin alone. Martin put his arm round her, pulled her in and kissed her,
"Wow" Ellie stated and kissed him again.

Later that night everyone sat in the living room listening to the evening comedy show on the radio, Louis and Jennifer sat on the floor playing cards, Nicky was doing Lindsey and Chrissie's hair whilst Ellie and Martin sat cuddled up on the sofa. All was quiet until the air raid alarm went off,
"Ahhh, Mummy the Germans are coming" Chrissie started to scream and cry,
"Chrissie, Chrissie it's ok" Ellie jumped up and put her arms round her little sister,
"Ok everyone, lights out, Martin put out the fire, radio off and everyone to the bomb shelter, Move" everyone raced out of the house and into the bomb shelter.
"Why is there an air raid in the country" Lindsey asked as she and Chrissie made themselves comfortable on one of the top bunks in the shelter,
"Because it's a war and the Germans will target anywhere whether it's the country or the city" Martin told her "but we are safe in here"
"Ok, I was just wondering" Lindsey lied down and closed her eyes
"How does she do that" Ellie asked
"No idea, she's always done it, ever since the first bombing in the city" Martin replied sitting down and putting his arm round Ellie,
"Wish I could do that" Louis said quietly
"Ellie tell us a story" Chrissie looked at Ellie
"Ok, what kind of story"
"The next instalment of Franny the Princess Fairy" Chrissie gave a big grin
"Who's Franny the Princess Fairy" Jennifer asked
"A character from a story Ellie made up first time we were in here" Chrissie said poking her head over the bed,
"Ok right this one is called Franny and the enchanted Willow tree" Ellie began to tell the story, everyone else sat back and listened.
By one o'clock in the morning the alarm telling everyone the raid was over went off. Lindsey, Chrissie and Louis were all asleep. Martin, Ellie and Nicky carried them back to the house and put them to bed, Jennifer jumped in the bed next to Lindsey and fell straight to sleep, Martin kissed them both on the forehead and made his way into Ellie's room.
"Hey beautiful" he said as he walked across the room
"Hey sweetie" Ellie smiled, Martin sat next to her and stroked her face before kissing her passionately, he kept kissing her and stroked her arm before touching her breasts.
"I'm going to let you sleep now" Martin said before kissing again,
"You know" Ellie started "It's been a long night maybe you could stay" she said between kisses,
"Ok if you want me too"
"I do, the truth is bomb raids scare me so much, it's the reason I started telling the stories to take my mind of it"
"Oh Ellie come here" Martin hugged her "of course I will stay"
"Thank you, oh just so you know I don't want to you know, yet"

"Oh me neither, yet" they both smiled at each other then lied down go to sleep.
