Lintwood Farm Chapter 22

Heres Chapter 22 x

Chapter 22-1944

"I've got a reply from Right Now Fabrics" Ellie walked into the shop the day after new year's day,
"What did they say" Jennifer asked
"It say's 'Dear Mrs. Dinsdale, Thank you so much for your enquiry. We are very interested in branching out to smaller, more independent businesses. We would like to meet with you at our London office on the 22nd March at 12.30pm' so if all goes well we will have a new fabric supplier"
"Ellie that's great and you get to go to London for a few days, just make sure you know where all the air raid shelters are"
"I will, capital cities are always targets, well I'm going to sit in the office and write them back and send a letter to Brenda letting her know, it will be great to see her again. See how things are going with Cameron"
"Ok well don't forget to take some pictures of Bonnie with you, I'm sure she would love to see how much she's grown"
"Oh don't worry Jenny I will, you never know who I might bump into" Ellie smiled
"You're hoping you will bump into Martin aren't you" Jennifer looked at Ellie"
"Well, maybe, but I doubt it, he's probably somewhere in Europe. Let me know if it get's busy"
"I will" Jennifer got back to work and Ellie went into the office.

"I've got the cake" Nicky put a box on the table and took out a round cake and put it in the middle. It was Bonnie's first Birthday and Ellie was dancing with excitement,
"I can't believe Bonnie's already a year old"
"I know sweetie it's gone by so quick. Now on a more serious note, have you got everything sorted for your trip to London, it's in a couple of weeks and..."
"Mum, Mum, everything is sorted I know what I'm doing, I know where I'm going, the company have sent me their address and I'm meeting Brenda afterwards for afternoon tea"
"Oh how lovely, let me know how she is won't you, it's been a long time since she's been home"
"Well she's a nurse living in London, she's busy all the time, but she's managed to get the day off so she can see me" Ellie finished polishing the cutlery she had in her hands,
"Mama" Bonnie who had learned to walk a few weeks back toddled into the dining room
"There's my gorgeous little birthday girl" she picked her up and gave her a little kiss,
"She won't keep still, she keeps walking away" Lindsey said as she walked in behind Bonnie, Chrissie behind her,
"Have you two fed the chickens" Nicky asked
"Yes we have" Chrissie relied. Ian, Maria and Louis then came in from the barn and they all celebrated Bonnie's birthday.
Bonnie was very excited and laughed and giggled all day,
"Does she even know what's happening" Chrissie asked
"Probably not, I think she's just enjoying the attention" Bonnie was walking around the room playing with the brown paper her few presents had been wrapped in. By the end of the day Bonnie was so tired she was falling asleep on the living room floor,
"I think it's time for bed" Ellie picked up her daughter and carried her off to bed, everyone giving Bonnie a little kiss before leaving the room.

"Do you have everything you need, your coat, smart dress, gas mask" the day Ellie's London trip had arrived and Nicky was fussing over her daughter
"Mum I have everything stop fussing"
"Nicky she will be fine, Ellie we really need to get off or you will miss your train" Ian had offered to take Ellie to the train station,
"Ok bye Mum, I will see you in a few days" Ellie kissed her Mother on the cheek and made her way towards the door
"Err Ellie, you need to hand Bonnie over to your Mother" Ian told her, Ellie realised she still had Bonnie in her arms,
"Oh, yes, of course, bye, bye sweetheart, I will see you in a few days, Mummy will miss you very much" Ellie gave her a kiss and handed her to her Mum
"Say bye, bye Bonnie" Nicky said, Bonnie gave a little wave and Ellie and Ian made  their way out of the door. Ian waved Ellie off at the train station and before long she was in London.
"Hi, oh my god Ellie it's been so long" Brenda jumped up from her table when Ellie walked thought the door of the cafe they were meeting in,
"Brenda, it's so good to see you sorry I'm a bit late, I had to stop and ask for directions" she hugged her friend,
"Oh don't worry about it. So tell me how did the meeting go" they both sat down and Ellie poured herself a cup of tea,
"It was great, they are so professional, they asked about the shop and showed me some fabric samples which are really good quality and we have come to an agreement, all I need to do is read and sign the contacts, send them off and the first fabric order should come a few weeks after that" she sipped her tea
"That's so great, really pleased for you. How's Bonnie doing" Brenda asked
"She's doing great, I have some pictures to show you" Ellie took out some photo's out of her bag and handed them to Brenda
"Oh she is so cute, she has grown so much. I wish I could come back and meet her"
"You will one day, once this stupid war is over"
"If it will ever end, right now it just doesn't seem like it"
"I know, but it's got to, it can't go on forever" there was a little silence between them.
"So tell me how are things between you and Cameron" Ellie asked
"Great, actually we got married" Brenda showed Ellie her wedding ring
"No way, congratulations, tell me everything, also why wasn't I invite"
"Well I would have done, but it was a spare of the moment thing, he got badly injured and we thought he was going to die so we married, he's now on the mend and is going to be fine and to be honest I've never been happier" Brenda looked at her ring
"I'm so happy for you, I can't believe we're both married"
"I know it seems only yesterday we were sat in our little den dreaming of our big day"
"I know. You know something Brenda, it wasn't what I expected, it was better" they both gave a little giggle and carried on chatting.

After a few hours Brenda had to leave,
"I'm so sorry but I've got to get home to Cameron but it was so great to see you we should do this again soon" Brenda got up and hugged her friend and left to return home. Ellie left a few minutes after.
She walked up the street, many buildings were in ruins due to the air raids. London seemed colder than back home. She kept walking, looking out for a taxi to take her back to the hotel when she suddenly stopped and stared. In front of her a few yards away stood someone she knew,
"Martin" she said out loud, the person looked up at her,
"Ellie" they both looked at each other "is it you" he asked
"Yes it is" Ellie began to tear up
"Oh Ellie" Martin ran up to her, dropped his bag, scooped her up in his arms and kissed her passionately
"I've missed you so much" Ellie told him between kisses
"I know I've missed you too" he put his forehead against Ellie's and held her close,
"How long have you got" she asked
"One night, I ship out again tomorrow"
"Ok come with me" Ellie waved down a passing taxi and pulled Martin into it. When they got to the hotel Ellie was staying at they stripped off and made love to each other for the first time in thirteen months.

Lintwood Farm Chapter 21

Here is Chapter 21 of Lintwood Farm x

Chapter 21

"Hello Chrissie" A voice said as Chrissie was watering the plants outside the front of the house. She turned around to see who it was, behind her stood two woman wearing trench style coats and holding a suitcase each,
"Mum" Chrissie ran to give her Mother a hug
"Hello little one, well not so little anymore look how tall you've gotten" the other woman said
"Auntie Maria. What are you both doing here" she ask them
"We're here to see the baby of course, I have to meet my granddaughter at some point" and with that Chrissie lead them inside
Ellie was sat in the study piling up photo albums her father had made,
"What's going on in here" Nicky asked as she walked in with Chrissie and Maria
"Mum, what are you doing here" Ellie got up and gave her Mother a hug "such a lovely surprise, Auntie Maria, always good to see you"
"We're here to see you daughter"
"Of course just through here" Ellie lead them through to the dining room where Ian sat with Bonnie in his arms,
"Nicky, Maria, how lovely to see you" Ian stood up and handed Bonnie to Ellie who handed her to Nicky
"Mum this is Bonnie. Bonnie this is Grandma and Auntie Maria" Bonnie gave a little wriggle and waved her hands in the air then settled into her Grandmothers arms,
"How old is she now" Maria asked as she gazed down at Bonnie,
"Four weeks, we got her registered last week. I'm going to make a pot of tea"
"I'll help you" Maria followed Ellie into the kitchen
"How's Mum doing" Ellie asked, she put the kettle on the cooker
"Much better, in fact she's laughing again just like she did when she met your father"
"Really, that's great, she's not met anyone else has she" Ellie asked
"No but time away from here has done her good"
"That's good to hear" Ellie smiled with relief. She then carried a tray though to the dining room table
"So how's life on the farm" Nicky asked as Ellie poured the tea
"It's great we've been moving things around and sorting the study which is to became Ian's bedroom" Ellie told her mother
"How come" Maria asked
"Well there's not enough room for everyone so Ian's moving downstairs, Lindsey and Chrissie are moving into Ian's room and their room will become Bonnie's room"
"Oh well it's about time the study was sorted, I should have done it years ago" Nicky looked over to the study
"Oh and we are putting Dads plans to restore the farm to it's former glory back into action, we found the plans last week whilst cleaning out"
"Oh really that's great" Nicky beamed with excitement
"There's just one problem" Ellie said
"What's that sweetie"
"We have no money"
"Sure we do, we can use the savings your Father left" Nicky stood up and started to rock Bonnie to sleep
"We have savings" Ellie looked surprised
"Of course we do, your Father saved up so he could restore the farm after your dope of a Grandfather ruined it" Bonnie wriggled in Nicky's arms
"Nicky that's wonderful, also what did you mean by 'we'" Ian asked
"Well me and Nicky are here to help" Maria stated "we've been talking about this for months" Maria sipped her tea
"I've been feeling a lot better lately and I always promised your Father that if he died I would still go ahead with the plans we made, so another reason to come back" Nicky put Bonnie in her cot that stood next to the table and sat back down,
"Ok well that's great, you will know all the plan's inside out, what's going where, where to get the animals from, who to sell to"
"Of course, I'm the one who did all the research"
"Ok, but one little thing, where will you and Auntie Maria stay" Ellie asked
"Don't worry about that dear one, we will stay in the attic" Maria told Ellie
"We have an attic" Ellie looked even more surprised than she did when the savings where mentioned
"Of course we do, the stairs at the back of the landing upstairs lead to two small rooms" Nicky told everyone
"What stairs" Ellie asked
"Those stairs" Nicky showed everyone the stairs at the back of the landing
"Oh, you know I've never noticed them before. Anyway Mum, you're cleaning the rooms, I've got a baby to look after" Ellie turned to walk away then stopped "Mum, what about your room"
"Oh I forgot about that, Maria you're in the attic by yourself"
"Woppie" Maria did a little dance and they all went back downstairs, Lindsey looked at Chrissie
"Your Auntie's weird"
"I know"

Over the course of the next six months the farm was restored, horses arrived and settled into the restored sable, pigs arrived after that and put in the barn, more chickens came, Chrissie and Lindsey looked after them and the fields were turned over and by winter all ready for the harvest to grow. Nicky had decided to stay and Maria found a little house in the Village to live in after she had also decided to stay as well. Bonnie had grown so much and by Christmas crawling around the floor.
Ellie was sat at the dining room table writing yet another letter to Martin informing him how Bonnie, the farm and the family where all doing, she looked up and two of the chickens sat outside of the window,
"Chrissie" she stood, picked up Bonnie and opened the front door "Chrissie the chickens have got out again" Chrissie came bouncing round the corner of the house, Lindsey in tow
"Not again, the lock on the fence needs replacing it's not a very good one is it, Ellie can you help us round them up please" Chrissie asked her sister
"Sure, let me get mine and Bonnie's coats and the pram" Ellie went back inside and emerged five minutes later. They spent the next hour chasing and rounding up the chickens. Ellie then found a new lock in the shed and fixed it to the gate
"I never knew you could change locks Ellie" Ian said driving in on the new tractor from the fields, barrels of hay on the back,
"Dad taught me, like most things related to the farm, we got enough hay to last the winter"
"Yes we do, plenty of it" Ian and Louis started unloading the hay into the barn,
"Hi everyone" Jennifer came walking up the drive
"Hello sweetheart" Ian said hugging his daughter
"Ellie we need another order of fabric, we've only one role of white cotton left" she told her
"Again, I only ordered a few weeks ago" Ellie looked shocked
"I know"
"You should change supplier" Maria told them as she came out of the barn
"I think your right Auntie Maria, they're a bunch of cheap skates"
"Try this company, Right Now Fabrics" Maria handed Ellie a newspaper cutting "excellent review by Selfridges, though they don't schedule meetings in December due to Christmas"
"There's an address here, I'll write to them see if I can get meeting for the new year" Ellie put the cutting in her pocket
"There's something else too" Jennifer said
"What is it Jenny" Maria asked
"The Butches is closed till further notice"
"What, where are we going to get out meat from" Maria asked
"How come" Lindsey put in
"I don't know is the answer to both those questions"
"We're not eating the chickens" Chrissie stated
"We might have to Chrissie, that's what they're there for you know that" Ellie said
"Only when they stop laying eggs and you leave Missy, Dee Dee, Lisa and Bernadette alone"
"Of course we will. You don't think Charlie's been killed do you" Ellie said, sorrow in her voice
"I don't know but I'm going over to Farmer Michaels later with some barrels of hay, I'll find out what's going on and see if I can strike a deal to get meat from him, otherwise we are going to have to go all the way in to town to the butchers there" Ian said, he then got back to work, Jennifer gave her bag to Ellie who took it inside as she helped her father, Louis and Maria.

Ian returned from Farmer Michaels late in the evening,
"You took your time" Nicky said as he walked into the living room "also Meg ate your dinner"
"It's ok I ate over there" he sat down
"How did it go" Jennifer asked
"Well Charlie Brook has been killed in action"
"Oh my god how terrible" Nicky said
"Mr Brook has asked Farmer Michaels if he can sell his meat to his customers, seeing as he gets his meat supply from his farm anyway. Farmer Michaels is going to put a notice on the shop door tomorrow"
"Did Farmer Michaels say anything about Martin" Ellie asked worried
"Only that they were split into different regiments, as far as he's aware he's still alive, oh and Mrs Michaels knitted this for Bonnie, she hopes it will keep her warm over winter" Ian handed a little jumper over to Ellie, it was pink with the letter B on the front of it
"Oh how sweet, I will write her a thank you letter" Ellie got up and left the room
"Well I'm off to bed, see you all in the morning" Ian left the room for bed
The next morning Ellie wrote Mrs Michaels and Right Now Fabrics a letter
"Right I'm off into town going to sent these letters and buy some more nappies for Bonnie, she's grown up so fast" Ellie told her mother, Ian and Maria as they mucked out of barn,
"Ok love, can you pick me up some new tea towels please, I'll give you the ration for them" Nicky left to get her ration book
"Are you taking Bonnie with you dear"
"Yes I am Auntie Maria"
"Here you go darling, about time we had new ones, not had any since 1939" Nicky gave Ellie her ration and got back to work
"I'll be back soon" Ellie walked off up the drive
Ellie made her way into town, baby Bonnie in tow. She posted her letters, then want into the baby shop. As well as buying Bonnie's new nappies she also bought her two Christmas presents, a new dress and a new blanket. As she left the shop she noticed Mr Brook standing in front of her,
"Mr Brook" she walked over to him, he looked up,
"Oh, hello Miss Pickard, oh I mean Mrs. Dinsdale"
"Please call me Ellie, easier to remember" there was an awkward silence
"I heard about Charlie, I am so sorry"
"Thank you, you're the first person to be nice about it, that greengrocer cheered when he heard the news"
"I'm so sorry Mr Brook, I never knew he could be like that"
"I know my son was a little terror when he was younger but he was still human, he still had a heart" Mr Brook gave a little cry
"Oh Mr Brook, if there is anything we can do to help please let us know"
"I will, look I've got to get on, preparations for Sunday, we're having a memorial at the church, 10am, you can come if you like"
"We'll be there"
"Such a bonnie little girl, what's her name again" Mr Brook looked  at Bonnie in her pram
"Her names Bonnie"
"Well, see you Sunday"
"See you Sunday Mr Brook"

"I'm back" Ellie shouted as she walked through the door
"Hi Ellie" Jennifer came out of the dining room with a tray of tea and went into the living room "tea" she asked as Ellie sat down with Bonnie on her knee,
"Yes please, did you sort the fabric order"
"Yes I did this morning" Jennifer handed cups of tea to Ellie, Ian, Nicky and Maria
"I bumped into Mr Brook in town today"
"How is he" Nicky asked
"Devastated. Their having a memorial on Sunday at 10am I've said we'll be there" Ellie sipped her tea

"Oh of course, they were at your Fathers so we will be at Charlie's" Nicky replied "Such a devastating thing to happen" she sipped her tea.

Arazona Chapter Nine

Sorry for the long wait, here is Chapter Nine of Arizona. Enjoy

Chapter 9

Fifi sat at home, angry at what had just happened. She lived in a nice house, grand and something she knew Antonia could never afford, that was until she learned of her relationship with Luke and the fact that she was Gifted. She sat at her Father's desk as a dagger floated in the air out in front of her
"Fifi what have I told you about that" her Father entered the room and stared at her, the dagger fell onto the desk
"It's not fair, Antonia's Gifted and now everyone knows, why can't I tell everyone I'm Gifted too" Yes Fifi was in fact Gifted herself, she was Telekinetic.
"Actually I'm more angry that she's Gifted and I'm not the only Gifted woman anymore" she picked up the dagger and threw it at the wall,
"Fifi darling calm down, I'm sure there are plenty of Gifted woman out there" Vice-Chancellor Epson told her
"Deep down I know that but why, why does Antonia have to be one and Luke's started to date her, the stupid cow" Fifi stopped about
"That will never last she's not of Nobility"
"Yes but what if they don't marry until Luke is President" she looked at her Father with the face of a sad child who wasn't getting her way.

Antonia spent her birthday with her Mum, Maybelle and Luke, they went out shopping, Luke buying Antonia a really expensive necklace with a matching bracelet from the Jewellery store Sapphires as an extra little gift, then went out for dinner. Soon it was Sunday night, Antonia was all packed and ready to move into the AMF Barracks the next day, she sat on her bed looking at her now empty room,
"Antonia darling" Jasmine stood in the doorway " Can I come in"
"Sure" Antonia replied. Jasmine walked over and sat next to her daughter, in her hands she held a wooden box
"I never got rid of them" Jasmine told Antonia
"Never got rid of what"
"The pictures of your Father, I hid them in the storage unit in the basement" Jasmine handed her daughter the box "careful it heavy" she told her. Antonia opened the box, mountains of pictures lied inside, some lose, some in frames and some all bundled together with little bits of string
"Thank you Mum"  a tear rolled down Antonia's cheek
"It's ok, I thought about what you said and you were right. You can take them with you if you like, I don't mind"
"Thank you, you should keep some for yourself you know, Dad may be gone but his sprit still lives on" Antonia looked at her Mother who was now crying herself. Jasmine looked at the floor then at the pictures, she took a few of the framed ones out,
"These where my favourite, they still are" she said to Antonia. They put their arms around each other
"Everything will be alright Mum, I won't suffer the same fate as Dad"
"How do you know for sure"
"Because we are descendants of Ludivine Hawthrow" Antonia told her Mother
"What, we are, how can that be, she lived 5000 years ago" Jasmine looked shocked
"Lady Seraphina found out about my power and what I could do she had the Historian trace our family tree and it came back to Ludivine"
"Difinity is part of our family"
"Yes, well one of them is. Seraphina thinks I'm the next one" Antonia told her
"How can that be, I mean yes you have the same power but every Difinity had wings and you don't"
"Yes but every Difinity developed them by the time they were 25, I only 21 so there's still time" Antonia looked at her mother who had gone silent, after a few minutes she spoke,
"Ok, you never know and from what you've said you might be. If you are then you can give those monsters in the desert a taste of their own medicine" Jasmine said
"If I ever do come up against them I will" Antonia gave her Mother a hug.

Antonia moved into the AMF housing quarters the next day, Luke, Maybelle and Jasmine helped her move in to a little flat of her own, with the kitchen and bedroom in one and a little bathroom on the right as you come through the door,
"It's not much but it will do" Luke told her
"It's perfect, thank you" she gave him a kiss.
Antonia continued with her training that afternoon, showing General Alcatech what she could do. Luke was there as she was nervous she would lose control
"That was very impressive, Luke has taught you well" General Alcatech told her as they finished "but you didn't show me what you could do with heat"
"Well, I haven't had a chance to control it yet, every time I use it, it gets so hot people start to suffocate" Antonia replied
"We need the Hatchback Simulator so we can monitor the heat levels" Luke put in
"Very well, come with me" General Alcatech lead Antonia and Luke down a long corridor. They stopped in front of a metal door. Alcatech put a pin to unlock the door,
"Welcome General Alcatech" a computerised female voice said. Alcatech lead them in,
"This is the Hatchback Simulator created by Estore Hatchback, hence the name" Alcatech said. Antonia looked down into a huge room made of metal
"We can simulate wars, battles, landscapes even Space for training purposes. It's also a safe environment for the Gifted to control their powers without hurting anyone" Luke said.
They spent the rest of the afternoon looking at the heat part of Antonia's power. Luke and Alcatech sat in the control room that looked into the simulator. Antonia stood in the middle of the room and turned up the heat
"Holy crap that's hot" Luke said as he and Alcatech looked at the heat monitor
"That's even hotter than the sun" Alcatech replied. Antonia stopped then hit the floor
"Antonia" Luke ran down into the simulator followed by Alcatech
"She's dehydrated" Luke said kneeling down next to her
"Kidson bring me a bottle of water to the Hatchback Simulator immediately" Alcatech spoke into a communication device that was attached to his ear. An average sized man came running into the simulators a few minutes later and handed a bottle of water to Luke. He sat Antonia up and got her to drink the water,
"I think that's enough for today. Go home and rest" Alcatech said.
Luke helped Antonia home and stayed with her to make sure she was ok,
"So, what is General Alcatech's power" Antonia asked as she sat on her bed with Luke
"Super strength and he can turn into some sort of bullet proof metal" Luke told her "It comes in handy in battle all you can see is this big shiny metal like person running around guns blazing"
"That sound funny" Antonia laugh
"It is, he goes psycho out there, I've seen him do it"
"I can't wait to see it"
"You will in the simulator, I can promise you that now" they smiled at each other
"So I've been looking at my timetable for my training and I have one question. What's Alien Studies?" Antonia asked
"It's where you learn all about aliens that we know of, who want to either dominate or destroy the universe. You learn how they operate, how they live, how to fight them, kill them, stuff like that" Luke told Antonia
"Sounds interesting"
"It it. You also get to fight simulated versions of them in the simulator"
"Cool"
"But you have to pass a written exam first"
"That's ok, I've passed every exam I've ever done first time round"
"Nerd"
"Eh" Antonia gave Luke a playful hit then kissed him where one thing led to another.
They woke up the next morning naked in each other's arms, they looked at each other and gave a little giggle.
Over the coming months Antonia improved during her training and was soon at a standard no one not even Luke could match.

"It's been months since she arrived there and every picture you see of her she's with Luke, the dumb whore" Fifi expressed as she sat in the family spa with her Mother
"Fifi darling don't get too stressed, Luke will be yours one day" Mrs Epson said as she enjoyed her message
"As long as Antonia's around he won't"
"Then dispose of her"
"What do you mean dispose of her" Fifi asked
"Kill her and make it look like an accident"
"Mother do you really think that would work"
"How do you think I got your Father" she gave her daughter and evil smile
"You are pure evil, I love it" Fifi told her Mother.
She spent the next few day's devising a plan to get rid of Antonia. She wrote and scribbled in notebooks and on scraps of paper she found around the house, her plans ranged from squashing her to death to pushing her down the stairs to putting her Mother in danger to causing a road accident. But none of them Fifi thought would work, she knew she would find out not to mention Luke would probably be with her all the time.
"I can't think of anything that would work without me being found out or seen, how did you kill your rival" Fifi asked her mother one evening
"I pushed her off the top of a building during the Astrithian Invasion" Mrs Epson told Fifi
"Really,  that was lucky"
"Not really, I had it all planned"
"What do you mean you had it all planned, how did you know it was going to happen" Fifi asked
"Because I'm the one who caused it, as a distraction whilst I took care of my rival, everyone thinks she was either killed by an Astrithian or fell trying to get away from them" Mrs Epson confessed
"You caused the Astrithian war"
"Yes and no one has ever found out. Keep it to yourself though or I'll end up in one of those High Security Cells"

"Of course I will, you've just given me an idea" Fifi got up and ran upstairs to her room. She pulled out a new notebook and wrote down her plan. It involved the most deadliest and dangerous Aliens in the Universe. The Krygons.
