Arazona Chapter 16

Chapter 16

"Hey, how's Crystal" Antonia asked Luke as he came to see her in the hospital.

"She's paralysed from the waist down. She never going to walk again" a tear rolled down his cheek,

"Oh Luke, I'm so sorry" Antonia put her arms around him, he held her close,

"The medical consultant has told her to rest. Are you ok" he asked

"Yes, I'm just waiting on my discharge papers"

"Thank god your all right, I don't know what I would have done if you weren't" he held her even tighter

"Miss Birch, here are your discharge papers, you can go home now" the assistant medical consultant handed Antonia a pink form

"Thank you. Come on lets go it's been a long horrible day"

"Sure, let's go back to mine" Luke took her hand and led her out of the building.

"We almost had her, almost" Seraphina told her husband "look at what she has done to our little girl, out beautiful little girl" Seraphina was crying

"Seffy darling we will get her I promise. Fifi will not get away with what she has done" President Homestead told his wife

"What will happen to Crystal now, what will she do when she can work again, she can't go out into the field anymore" Seraphina cried some more

"She will still run the AMF, of course it will be office based from now on. Seffy she has only lost the use of her legs, she can still do the job, anyway if I said otherwise she would probably fight me on it" President Homestead told his wife, he had sat down next to her

"Indeed" Seraphina gave a weak smile. They heard the door open and the voices of Luke and Antonia,

"Luke, how's Crystal" President Homestead asked his son as he and Seraphina walked into the hallway

"She's resting" Luke replied

"Antonia how are you" Seraphina asked, eyes all puffy

"I'm fine thank you Seraphina"

"How was it, fighting the Krygon General for the first time" President Homestead asked her

"He's strong, but not strong enough, he's no match for me" Antonia told them

"Good. Get some sleep both of you"

Luke and Antonia turned to walk up the stairs, they stopped, Luke turned back to his Father

"I put The Cuff on Fifi's wrist" he said

"Really" Seraphina replied quickly

"Yes" they smiled at each other before heading to bed.

Maybelle and Coby lied in each other's arms, there wasn't much else to do  on bored the pod except wait, before long they were approaching Astrith,

"We're here Coby told her

"Great" Maybelle replied

They soon landed and where taken to the Asthrithian Emperor

"All this time you have been alive, held captive"

"Yes my lord, but now I have escaped" Coby replied to the Emperor "My lord please we have a situation.."

"Coby, how is it you have survived all this time, I can see they have tortured you, but you are the first I know off to escape them"

"Well you always said five years ago I'm the best solder in Astrith also I guess I'm just lucky"

"This is true"

"Also the Krygons don't know all the hiding places on their ship"

The Emperor smiled knowing Coby would have always found a way of surviving,

"Now tell me of this situation we have" the Emperor asked. Coby told him about the attack on Arizona and how they have been betrayed by one of their own,

"We have to help them my lord, they can't face their army on their own" Coby finished, the Emperor paced up and down looking at Coby

"You are right Coby, they can't face them on their own, no one can"

"We have to help them" Coby insisted "we have had an alliance with them for 30 years please don't break that now"

"I don't intend to" the Emperor told him "we will help them, the Homesteads are now good friends, I have already got an army ready to go"

"Really, how did you know what was going on" Coby asked

"President Homestead left the last Senate meeting because of it, the army will leave in the morning"

"Really, thank you my lord" Maybelle stepped forwards

"And you are" the Emperor asked

"Maybelle my lord"

"An Arizonian"

"Yes my lord, Coby rescued me from the Krygon ship"

"You do know the only way to defeat a Krygon army don't you, either destroy the whole army or.."

"Kill the Krygon General" Maybelle finished the Emperor's sentence

"Exactly. We will help, as I know your planet would do the same for us, we may have been enemies once but I am glad we are now allies" he turned to walk away

"My friend Antonia will kill the Krygon General you know" Maybelle called out. The Emperor turned to face her

"And how does your friend intend to do this" he asked

"She's Difinity"

There was gasps and muttering around the Great Hall, the Emperor look stunned but smiled, he knew it was about time the next Difinity raised up.

      "Your Emperor's a bit formal isn't he" Maybelle stated as Coby led her down a hallway of a building not far from the Emperor's palace

"Yes he is, he's always been like that, so his whole family, ah here we are" Coby stopped outside a door and opened it "this is my place, sorry it's a bit of a mess, looks like my family has been here" he led Maybelle inside

"I love it" Maybelle told him looking around the living room. Coby made some room on the sofa so Maybelle could sit down, he sat next to her,

"How are you feeling" he asked

"Tired and hunger" she replied yarning

"I'm really sorry I have no food in" he told her

"It's ok, it's not your fault" she leaned in and kissed him, he kissed her back. They were interrupted by a knock at the door,

"Hold that thought" Coby whispered, he went to answer the door

"Coby it’s true, your alive" a woman threw herself at him and held him close "look at what they've done to you"

"Mother" Coby hugged her back

"I thought I would never see you again, I can't believe you're actually here, I've missed you so much" she was crying into his shoulder

"Coby your back" Another woman much younger than Coby's mother came through the door

"Nerar" Coby greeted her

"Little brother, I knew you would come back alive" another woman with a baby bump walked in next, all three women wore long floor length dresses,

"Niko, what, your having a baby" Coby said surprised

"Yes I am, oh Mother will you stop crying, Coby's fine just like Nerar and me said he would be, a bit worse for wear though, seriously what have those beasts done to you" she handed her Mother a tissue

"Oh I know, I'm just so grateful he's home"

"5 years we've put up with this, never doubt my Psychic abilities" Niko put a basket on the kitchen counter

"I never do Niko and I was tortured" Coby told his sister

"Oh you poor thing, come here" Niko gave him a hug. Coby shut the door and smiled at Maybelle

"Oh who's this" Nerar asked approaching Maybelle

"I'm Maybelle" she stood up

"Hi nice to meet you, I'm Nerar, Coby's little sister. We've brought plenty of food so I hope you're hungry. Coby is Maybelle your girlfriend" Nerar asked. Coby looked at Maybelle who smiled

"Yes she is" he replied

"Well welcome to Astrith, Arizonian aren't you" Niko asked

"Yes how can you tell" Maybelle asked

"The spirits sold me Coby would return with an Arizonian"

"Sprites" Maybelle asked confused

"Niko's a Psychic" Nerar told her "and a pretty dame good one, come sit at the table and tell us all about yourself" she offered Maybelle a chair

"Get this thing off me" Fifi snapped, one of the Krygons tried to take The Cuff off her wrist, he tried everything, he even tried to saw it off with his sword, but it wouldn't budge

"There is only one way to remove it" the Krygon said in a deep voice

"Don't even think about chopping my hand off" Fifi told him "where is the General" she snapped

"In the medical bay" the Krygon Pilot said. She left the bridge and made her way to the medical bay

"This stupid thing won't come off, what the hell I'm I going to do"

"If you can't see Fifi I am in the middle of being treated, go away" the Krygon General hissed, another Krygon grabbed Fifi and threw her out of the medical bay,

"My god, you can't get your way with this lot can you" she walked back to the bridge.

Antonia lied awake that night, she thought about what had happened that day and what had happened to Crystal, she got out of bed and walked over to the window and looked out of it, she signed, she was scared about what was going to happen next, about who was going to get hurt next, what if it was Luke , what if he was killed, what if Fifi got hold of him and took him away from her,

"Antonia are you ok" Luke had woken up and was stood behind her

"Hey, yes I'm fine, I was just..."

"Worrying" Luke put his arms around her

"I'm scared Luke, I have no idea what's going to happen or who is going to get hurt next, what if it's you, I would never forgive myself"

"Antonia nothing bad is going to happen to me, don't worry about me" Luke kissed her neck,

"How can I not worry, I love you so much, I'm always going to worry about you" she turned to face him

"And I'm always going to worry about you. This will all end soon I promise" he kissed her and led her back into bed,

    The next morning they all arrived at the hospital to see Crystal, Jasmine was sat with her,

"Hello darling" Jasmine greeted her daughter

"Mum what are you doing here"

"I heard what happened so I came down first thing this morning" Jasmine gave her daughter a hug, Seraphina pushed past them

"Crystal darling how are you" she lent down and gave her a kiss, Crystal was wearing a neck brace

"I'm ok. My back hurts though, I'm not allowed to move my neck and I heard Physio can be really painful"

"Physio isn't that bad, my Grandma went through it after her Hover Craft accident" Antonia told her

"It will probably be a bit painful to start with" Jasmine put in

"Crystal I'm glad to see you are ok, well as ok as you can be at the moment but Antonia and I can't stay long we have a lot to do at the AMF" Luke told his sister taking her hand

"It's OK I understand, you' re running it whilst I'm out of action right"

"Of course I am, don't worry about a thing" Luke told her

"I won't. I can't believe I'm going to be office bound when I get back to work" Crystal looked at the ceiling

"It's ok we'll figure something out for you" Antonia smiled, Crystal smiled back. 

Arazona Chapter 15

Chapter 15

"Here" Coby offered Maybelle some water

"Thank you" she took a few sips and handed it back

"I think I'm nearly done" he told her

"Really, that's good, hopefully we will be off this ship soon" she sat next to Coby

"Yeah hopefully" he looked at her and smiled

     "Right it's dark down there, let's go" Fifi told the Krygon General. The Planet had gone dark, Fifi and the Krygon General boarded a small ship with a few other Krygon's and made their way to Fifi's home. The pilot pressed the button for the invisibility boosted and soon they landed in Fifi's garden. She made her way up to her Father's bathroom and sorted and herself out,

"Better" the Krygon General asked as she came back downstairs

"Yes. I see you have set yourselves up"

"Of course, let's get back to work"

"Make sure you don't make any noise, no one can know we're here"

"I've done it, yes, come on" Coby took Maybelle's hand and guided her through the ship. He peered round a corner, a group of Krygon's stood in their way

"Shoot and don't stop ok" Coby told her

"Ok" Maybelle replied, they clutched their guns, turned the corner and began to shoot. The Krygon's having noticed they where there, began shooting at them, Maybelle made it through but Coby was still fighting his way through

"The doors at the end, go Maybelle, go" he called to her, she looked at the door then at Coby, the Krygon's swarmed around him, she looked at her gun and saw another setting, she set it then point and began shooting, the gun was more powerful than before, the Krygon's fell to the ground

"Coby, Coby are you ok" she ran over to him

"I told you to run" he said gently

"I couldn't leave you"

He looked at her "why" he asked

Maybelle moved in and kissed him

"Maybelle I..." Coby began, but they heard a roar "we got to go" he took her hand and they ran into the escape pod. Coby pressed a few buttons and the pod released itself from the ship,

"It's set to land on Astrith, once I have things sorted out I will get you home"

"Thank you Coby" she sat back and looked out of the window "It's so beautiful isn't it"

"What is" Coby asked

"Space, I've never seen it this close before" Maybelle moved closer to the window

"Have you never been off your home planet before"

"Yes, once, but we didn't have much money at the time so we had to sit in the part of the ship with no windows , I've never been of the planet since, all I've seen are pictures in school and now at work"

"What do you do" Coby asked

"I'm an assistance to one of the universities Universal Experts"

"Sounds fun"

"It is"

"Can I ask you something" Coby asked after a while

"Sure"

"Why did you kiss me"

"Because I like you, I know we haven't know each other long but I've never felt like this before" Maybelle replied

"Maybelle, I'm flattered and I like you too but.."

"Oh, you have a girlfriend don't you" Maybelle assumed

"No, but even if I did she probably would have moved on by now, but the thing is no one would want to be with me or be seen with me, I'm a hideous monster now, no one could ever love me, not now, I can even imagine children running away scared"

"Coby, you can't think like that, I would love to be with you and be seen with you, you are attractive and kind and loving, you can't isolate yourself because of your scares" Maybelle sat next to him "I think you are amazing and I would love to get to know you more" she kissed him again and then again. Coby kissed her back before kissing her passionately. He lifted up her top and caressed her skin, he kissed her neck and then her breasts, she removed his clothes as he removed her trousers. They made love as they floated through space.

"General Homestead have you seen General Alcatech"

"No I haven't" Crystal replied to the man to stood in front of her "is there anything I can help with, also what's your name again"

"Private Ashforth General, part of the Gifted section and yes I saw something last night in the sky"

"What was it Private Ashforth" Crystal stood up

"A Krygon ship, it was invisible"

"How did you see it if you was invisible" she asked

"My ability is invisibility, I can also see people and objects that are invisible. It was heading towards the city General"

"Was there only one"

"Yes General"

"Thank you Private Ashforth, you may go" he nodded and left the room

"Luke we have a problem, I'm calling a meeting right now" Crystal sais into her earpiece.

    "What! A Krygon ship has land in the city, where" President Homestead demanded

"We don't know, Private Ashforth saw it last night, it was invisible" Crystal replied

"No wonder no one else saw it" Luke put in

"Send out a squad immediately, I want every building, every home searched, find them, Antonia go with them, the Krygon General may be with them"

"Yes President Homestead, I will also take Private Ashforth with me, he can keep an eye out for the ship" Antonia turned to leave when General Alcatech came through the door

"Where have you been, we have urgent business.." President Homestead started

"I know I ran into Private Ashforth on the way, but I have other news. Lieutenant Lysell saw one of the Krygon escape pods eject from the main ship, he managed to check it cause, it's heading for Astrith"

"Astrith, there must have been an Astrithian on board" Crystal replied

"They better have helped Maybelle" Antonia said "or they'll have me to deal with" she turned and walked out of the room

"Antonia wait" Luke went after her "Antonia"

She stopped and turned around

" They won't have left her behind, they wouldn't do that" Luke told her

"They would have done all those years ago and I bet some of them are still like that" she told him

"I know but we do have an alliance with them now, their Army won't stand for it" there was silence between them

"If anything ever happened to her, if she is killed I could never forgive myself" a tear rolled down her cheek,

"come here" Luke put his arms around Antonia and kissed her " it's going to be alright, she will be alright, does she still have the gun you gave her"

"How did you know about that"

"I know everything, does she still have it"

"I think so, I haven't asked for it back yet"

"Then she will have some form of defence" he kissed her again "come on we have work to do"

Soldiers and the Gifted searched every house and every building, Luke and Antonia, wings out, followed Private Ashforth through the streets as he searched for the Krygon ship,

"Can you see anything yet" Luke asked

"No not yet, but it's somewhere I know it is" Private Ashforth replied

"You don't think it could be at Fifi's do you" Antonia said

"It could be, isn't Fifi on ally of theirs now" Private Ashforth asked

"Yes, we're near hers now, let's check it out" Antonia suggested, Luke and Private Ashforth nodded in agreement. All three made their way to Fifi's, they stopped at the corner and saw Fifi's house

"It's quiet" Luke said

"Well they're not exactly going to make themselves known are they" Antonia told them

"I know but you'd think there would be something suspicious going on if they're there"

"I don't see a ship" Private Ashforth told them,

"It could be in the back garden, it's massive, I saw a picture of it in school" Antonia said not taking her eyes of the house,

"I'll go and have a look" Private Ashforth said turning invisible

"Does he have any weapons" Antonia asked

"Yes, there specially made so they turn invisible along with him, same as her uniform" Luke replied

Private Ashforth though invisible had to be very quiet as he made his way around the back of the house, he climbed up the gate and peered into the garden. There right in the middle still invisible was the Krygon ship. He jumped down, and went to look through the window at the front of the house, the curtains were closed, but there was a little crack, he peered through to see a Krygon with its back to him. He backed away and made his way back to Luke and Antonia,

"Well anything" Antonia asked once he was visible again,

"Yes, the ships in the back garden and they are in the house, I saw one of them through a crack in the curtains"

"Ok, thanks Private Ashforth" Luke said "Crystal, send all units to Fifi Epson's house, we've found them"

"Roger that" Crystal replied through the earpiece

     All units arrived at Fifi's, Private Ashforth lead one unit around the back in case they tried to escape,

"Fifi Epson, come out with your hands up" Crystal shouted, there was silence "Fifi we have you surrounded, come out with your hands up" Crystal said once again, the door opened and Fifi emerged, but she was not alone, the Krygon General followed her, all units stepped back,

"Do you like my new friend, I think he's rather charming don't you"

"Where is Difinity" the Krygon General hissed

"I'm right here" Antonia stepped forwards, the Krygon General also stepped forwards, the AMF readied themselves

"The resemblance is uncanny" he hissed again

"Resemblance to who" Antonia asked

"The last Difinity"

"What, your over 5000 years old" Fifi was shocked

"Quiet Fifi" he replied

"Where Maybelle" Antonia demanded

"Hovering in space with that menace of an Astrithian" The Krygon General carried on looking at Antonia "even the wings are the same, your beauty glows just as much, now, you have the looks but do you have the strength and power" The Krygon General grabbed Antonia and threw her into the house opposite,

"Antonia" Luke cried, he tried to run to her but found he couldn't,

"You're not going anywhere" Fifi said with her hand stretched out in front of her.

"Fifi let him go" Crystal pointed her gun at her

"Never, he's mine"

"I'm warning you, let him go" Crystal prepared to shoot but was knocked out of the way by the Krygon General, he sent her flying to the other end of the road,  the other Krygons came out the house and handed the General his weapons, all units began to fight, the Krygon General turned and walked towards Crystal who was lying on the ground in pain,

"Crystal" Luke shouted, he tried to move but couldn't. Crystal's gun lied a few feet away from her she tried to move but couldn't,

"Fifi let me go" Luke demanded

"No Luke, you'll only get hurt, I can't let that happen, trust me"

"I will never trust you, look at what you've done, you're a traitor to our planet, look around you're going to kill everyone"

"Luke that's what they do, all you have to do is come with me, we can leave, start a new life somewhere else" Fifi told him

"Never, I will never betray my planet" Luke protested

"Luke please...OW" Fifi tried to take Luke's hand but got burnt,

"You burnt me" Fifi looked hurt

"Of course" he turned around now able to move, she tried to punch him but Luke got the better of her and placed The Cuff on her wrist,

"NO" Fifi screamed "not The Cuff" she tried to remove it but couldn't. Luke drew his sword made of fire and ran to help Crystal cutting down a few Krygon's in his path. Homeowners where now looking out of their windows, Mothers sending their children into other rooms.

The Krygon General raised his sword at Crystal, Luke raised his but before they both could deliver a blow Antonia came out of nowhere and knocked the Krygon General to the ground, it got up and prepared to fight,

"Bring it" Antonia said smiling. They fought, swords swinging this way and that, they kicked and punched each other, Antonia proved no match for the Krygon General,

"Not bad Difinity, not bad at all" The Krygon General hissed, they continued fighting, Luke stood ready to intervene if need be, but Fifi jumped him, he struggled with her, hitting her against a few fences before throwing her over his shoulder, soldiers surrounded her as she stood up, she was about to surrender when they heard a screeching noise. Antonia had struck the Krygon General but it was not enough to kill him, he threw her against a wall and grabbed Fifi

"We will meet again Difinity, very soon" he teleported back to the main Krygon ship. All units relaxed a bit with relief that it was over for now,

"Crystal" Luke ran to his sister, Antonia joined him

"Crystal are you alright" Antonia asked

"I can't feel my legs" Crystal replied

"Call a medic" Luke shouted "it's going to ok Crystal, it's going to be ok"

"The Krygon ships gone" Private Ashforth informed them "We tried to stop them but it was no use"

"How many dead" Luke asked

"Only three" Private Ashforth replied, a Medic Carrier arrived to take Crystal to hospital. 

Lintwood Farm Chapter 28

Chapter 28

"I can't believe we slept that late" Lindsey said walking down the stairs with Chrissie, Louis and Jennifer

"I know but we were up really late last night" Jennifer told them

"Morning you lot" Martin said

"Morning Martin" they all replied then stopped dead "Martin your back" they all jumped down the stairs and gave him a hug

"I can't believe you're back" Jennifer said

"Was it scary out there" Chrissie asked

"Did you kill anyone"

"Louis" Jennifer shouted

"What, I was only asking" he relied

"Jenny's got a boyfriend" Lindsey told Martin

"I know I've heard, Ellie's been telling me this morning. Anthony right" Martin asked her

"Yes and he amazing" she replied

"I've heard. Come here you two" Martin gave his sisters another hug,

"Ah you're finally up, we went to bed later than you and we were still up before you" Ellie said poking her head through the front door "Come on breakfast is outside today "and there's a surprise for you two as well" she pointed at Chrissie and Louis. They followed Ellie outside to find their Father standing in front of them. He was having a conversation with Ian and Maria. Chrissie and Louis stood there shocked at the sight of their Father still alive. Chrissie began to tear up,

"Dad" she said, Patrick looked up to see his two other children stand only a few feet away from him

"Hello you two" he said

"You're alive" Chrissie ran and jumped into her Father arm's

"Look at you, look how tall you've gotten" he told her, she was no longer the little girl he'd left behind nearly six years ago. Patrick had started crying too, he looked at Louis who ran up to hug his Father

"I don't believe it" Louis said "you're here"

"Yes I am and I'm here to stay"

"You're my hero" Louis told his father. Chrissie hugged them both and Patrick gestured to Nicky and Ellie to join in.

Both families celebrated. Martin was home and Ellie was ever so grateful to have the man she loves back where he belongs and Patrick Pickard, a man once believe dead was now home having breakfast with his family. Nicky felt so happy, she had her family back together again and so did Ellie. They both took their husband in an embrace and knew that no matter what happened good or bad nothing was ever going to come between their family again.

"Uh oh" Chrissie said

"What" asked Ellie

"Nothing"

"Chrissie"

"The Chickens have escaped again"

Ellie looked behind her

"Oh come on" she said

"Ok, whoever gets the most chickens back in the run wins this chocolate bar I brought home" Patrick help up a bar of chocolate, everyone stared

"That chocolates mine" Nicky said

"No it's not" yelled Lindsey and Chrissie. They got up and ran off at first falling over each other. And with that they spent the next few hours rounding up the Chickens. 

Lintwood Farm Chapter 27

Chapter 27 May 1945

"Germany surrendered, Germany surrendered" Jennifer and Anthony ran into the living room where Ellie sat with her children

"What did you just say" Ellie asked

"Germany surrendered" Jennifer repeated. Ellie jumped up and put the radio, they sat and listened to a broadcast by Winston Churchill and the news caster announcing the war in Europe was over,

"Is it true, is the war over" Chrissie asked as she stood in the doorway with Lindsey,

"Yes it is, it's over, it's finally over" Ellie jumped out of her seat and began celebrating,

"Yes it's over, Wahoo, I'm no longer going to need this" Chrissie threw her gas mask on the floor and joined her sister and niece who had also started jumping up and down. Music began playing on the radio and they danced around the living room, Ellie picked up her son who had been smiling away and spun him around the room.

"What is going on" Nicky shouted half an hour later as she walked in to the room with Ian, Louis and Maria

"Germany surrendered" Ellie told her mother

"Winston Churchill announced it today. The war in Europe is over" Chrissie said still dancing around,

"Ha, ha, ha, at long last" Ian screamed happily, he joined in the celebrations. Nicky in shock from hearing the news began to cry a little,

"Is it really over" she asked her daughter

"Yes Mum it is, well the war in Europe anyway, Japan still need to surrender for the war to completely end, but it's over for us and as the news caster said on the radio this is V-E Day, a time to celebrate" Ellie gave her Mother a hug.

      They decided to head down into Aimsbrough to celebrate at the local pub there and when they arrived the whole town was in celebratory mode, a band played in the of the town centre and everyone danced around, the adults drank and the children ran around playing. Nicky and Ellie sat at a table in the pub garden, Bonnie sat on her Mother's knee whilst Patrick was held in his Grandmother's arms,

"I can't believe it's over" Nicky said

"I know, it's been six long years, it's about time we had something to celebrate" Ellie replied

"But Ellie, we've had plenty to celebrate over the years, your wedding, your children being born, the farm being restored" Nicky reassured her

"Yes we have, I guess when you look at the bigger picture it doesn't really seem like much, yet it's still a lot"

"I enjoyed your wedding the most, it gave me something to come back for at the worst of times and I couldn't ask for a better husband for you" Nicky looked at Ellie and saw a tear roll down her cheek,

"I don't know if he's coming home yet, my gut feeling says he is and I hope it's right"

"He will come home Ellie, he's got too"

Ellie smiled at her mother

"Join me" she said "A toast to honour all the men and women who aren't coming home, to those who gave their lives so we didn't lose ours. May they rest in peace and never be forgotten" Ellie had raised her glass to toast the men and women who had lost their lives fighting in the war. Nicky and many other people nearby did the same.

       "I'm going to take the little one's home now" Ellie told her Mother an hour later. Nicky and Ian made sure she got into a taxi and waved her off before returning to the party.

"Thank you so much" Ellie said to the taxi driver after he unloaded the pram. She entered the house which was now dark and put a fire on in the living room. She went upstairs to get Bonnie's and Patrick's night clothes and came back to find Martin sat on the sofa, Patrick in his arms and Bonnie sat next to him,

"So this is Patrick" he said as soon as he saw her,

"Martin, your back, your home" Ellie began to tear up, Martin put his son into the pram, scooped his wife up in his arms and kissed her passionately,

"Oh god I can't believe your home, I've missed you so much" she hugged him tightly

"I've missed you too, so much, I'm home now for good, it's all over, I am never leaving you or the kids again" Martin kissed her again,

"Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" Bonnie was jumping on the sofa

"And I've missed you too you little tinker" Martin scooped his daughter up into his arms and gave a kiss and a big hug, Bonnie buried her head in his chest,

"I wove you Daddy" she told him

"I Love you too princess"

Ellie smiled, she was so happy, relieved that her family was back together

"I'm going to go make a pot of tea" Ellie said and she walked towards the kitchen

"Ellie wait, don't go in there" Martin called after her, but it was too late. Ellie walked into the dining room and received the shock of her life. Sat at the dining room table was someone she thought she would never see again,

"Dad"

"Hello daring"

"So let me get this straight, you lost your dog tags in the field of battle, got a head injury and suffered from memory loss, when you regained your memories and told them who you are they wouldn't believe you as they thought Patrick Pickard was dead, it wasn't until Martin saw you and confirmed who you are that they let come home" Ellie said trying to get her head round what her father had just said,

"Yes that's correct" he told her

"So why did they think you were dead in the first place" she asked

"My dog tag's where found next to another man's body and they misidentified him as me, they have correctly identified him now and his family have been informed. I also have a letter from the War Office apologising for the misidentification" Patrick gave Ellie the letter, she read it then put it on the table,

"Martin has already told me what happened to your Mother when you first thought I was dead, I think this needs breaking to her gently" Patrick suggested

"Agreed, I'll do it" Ellie offered. She looked at her Father and gave herself a little pinch to make sure she wasn't dreaming,

"I glad you're alive Dad" she got up and gave her Father a big hug,

"Me too pumpkin"

"We're back" Nicky yelled through the door

"Uh oh"

"What a party, I really, really enjoy...Patrick" Nicky stared in shock at her husband from the doorway "Your suppose to be dead"

"I  know, I know, I can explain" Patrick explained to Nicky what had happened to him and how he had been misidentified, Nicky also read the letter sent by the War Office. She sat there in silence taking in what she had been told,

"She a bit quieter than I thought she'd be" Ellie told Martin, Maria who had come home with everyone took her sister's hand

"Nicky are you ok" she asked her, Nicky nodded her head but still didn't say anything. It took a bit of time but Nicky accepted what had happened and the apology sent by the War Office. She looked up at her tall dashing husband then ran and embraced him

"Oh Patrick, I'm so glad you are alive. I have never stopped loving you, never, I will always love you no matter what, dead or alive" Nicky told her husband

"And I you my beautiful, beautiful Angel" they kissed and held each other tight

"Safe to say she never truly moved on" Ellie said, Martin smiled at her and kissed her on the forehead,

"Where's the others" Martin asked

"In bed" Ian said from behind him

"Dad"

"Hello son, welcome home" he hugged his son

"It's so good to be back" Martin said

"It's good to have you back. I've also put Bonnie and Patrick to bed" Ian told Ellie and Martin

"Patrick" Ian caught sight of his best friend "I don' believe it. How did you. When did you. It's a miracle" Ian hugged his friend and welcomed him back to family life,

"I will explain everything tomorrow right now I just want to go to bed, it's been a long day" Patrick put his arm around his wife

"I want to stay up a little longer" Ellie said

"You're going to bed too young lady" Patrick told his daughter

"Alright, I'm going. You wouldn't think I was in my twenties would you"

"You're in your twenties" Patrick said surprised

"Yes I'm married with two kids remember. Dad it's been a long six years
