"I'm
here" Tia said as she walked into Carl’s office on her first day at work
"Hi
Tia" Carl got up and shook her hand, "right I need you to find Linda
she is in charge of all Production Assistants and I apologise for all the
hecticness around here but we are starting to get ready for the Live
Anniversary Show"
"Oh
wow that's my favourite show of the year" Tia said
"Great,
so here is a map of the studio" Carl gave her a piece of paper "Linda
should be about here" he pointed to a corner of it
"Ok
thanks, I'll go find her" Tia left the room and started looking for Linda,
she entered the main studio area and saw Brian Kessler talking to another
producers, she wondered what Nina liked about him, he seemed older than 43 when
you saw him in person and wore geeky glasses off screen, now she knew Nina
would like that, geeky glasses were her weird turn on,
"Can
I help you" on older woman with long silver hair who looked like she was
in her 40's be you knew was older stood behind her
"Oh
I'm looking for Linda"
"You
must be Tia, nice to meet you, I'm Linda" Linda shook Tia's hand
"Right here is your I.D badge, your friend Holly gave us the picture"
Linda gave Tia a lanyard with a laminated I.D card attached to it, she looked
at the picture and saw it was one that had been taken on a night out a few
years back at Uni
"Oh
god, Holly really" Tia looked horrified
"I
guess you where drunk" Linda gave a little laugh
"Yes
it's from a night out at Uni when Holly came to visit me, she shows this one to
everyone when she talks about me, I've asked her to burn it"
"Don't
worry, mine was taken when I was hung over" Linda showed Tia hers
"Right I need you to get the dressing rooms ready for this week's guest's
start by cleaning them, we get each guest individual needs the day before they
arrive for filming, also I need you to go down to the channels post room and
pick up the shows post and hand it out, it's on the first floor second door on
the left you can't miss it, clean the dressing rooms first though" Linda
turned to walk way "oh and I apologies the that rock stars mess he was a
total arse" she walked off and Tia looked at the map Carl had given her
and made her way to the dressing rooms. When she got there she found the shows
cleaning cupboard right next to the dressing rooms. She had a look at the rooms
to see what state they had been left in, one was in fairly good condition, but
the other was a completely wrecked,
"A
complete arse that Jack Orswell" a woman with a cute Pixie Crop haircut
stood in the door way next to Tia
"Tell
me about it, has he no respect for anything" Tia stressed looking at the
mess
"Nope,
I'm Gin by the way" she held out her hand
"Gin
as in..."
"Gin
and Tonic, yes" Gin said shamefully "my Mum was an alcoholic and she
wrote Gin on my birth certificate" Gin continued
"Wow
I really feel for you" Tia replied
"Oh
don't worry about it, my Grandmother had it changed to Ginnifer when I was five,
but Gin kind of stuck everyone calls me it"
"I
could call you Ginny after Ginny from Harry Potter even though her full name is
Ginevra" Tia offered
"Sure
my Grandmother does" Ginny smiled "here I'll give you a hand with
this room it's not easy tiding up after Jack, I use to work at Wembley"
Ginny and Tia tidied the dressing room then Tia tided the other one before
going to get the post from the post room.
"Hey"
Tia arrived home, Nina was making dinner
"Hi,
how was your first day, did you get me the autograph" Nina smiled
"Nina
is that all you’re interested in" Tia asked
"What,
I asked how your first day was"
"It
was great. I asked Holly about autographs from Kessler but he only signs
autographs for audience members, anyway I found out from Carl that staff aren't
allowed to asked the host of the show for autographs, only the guests, and that’s
after the show has been taped" Tia told Nina
"Oh
ok, any chance you could get me a ticket for one of the shows tapings"
Nina asked with the biggest smile
"I've
got you one for the Live Anniversary Show" Tia told her
"Oh
my god" Nina screamed with excitement "that is the best show of the
year, and I'm going to be in the audience, oh wow, oh wow, oh wow" Nina
jumped up and down with excitement.
* * * * * * * *
"Hi,
Tia how are you" Oliver greeted Tia as she arrived at the restaurant they
were having dinner at
"Hi
Olive, I’m fine thanks, how are you"
“I’m
great thanks” they kissed each other on the cheek, they sat down and began to
chat
"What
will you be ordering" Oliver asked
"I
was thinking a Pizza, I love Pizza" Tia told him
"Really
me too, I was looking at the American one"
"Meat
feast for me, with extra cheese, Nina and I buy Pizza cheese from the
supermarket when we by a Pizza just so we can have extra cheese"
"My
Mum does that" they ordered their Pizzas and a bottle of wine to share,
"So
how's your face" Oliver asked
"Better"
Tia replied "the bruises have faded a bit now so I don't need as much
make-up to cover them up"
"Well
I think you look great without it"
"You've
never seen me without make-up"
"Well
I think you will" Oliver said blushing
"Thank
you" Tia replied "So how was your mother birthday, did she like her
purse"
"Yes
she did, you remembered me telling you that"
"Of
course, how's your sister and the baby" Tia also remembered
"She
great, she's actually got a job" Oliver told her
"Really,
that's great, where" Tia asked
"An
antique shop in the high street around the corner from my Mum's, she's doing
really well, anything she acquires for the shop before the baby comes she gets
the money for if it's sold whilst she on maternity leave, unfortunately it's
not the kind of place that can pay maternity leave" Oliver told Tia
"At
least she's doing something, taking responsibility, which is more than I can
say for my brother"
"What's
happened" Oliver asked
"My
Dad threw him out at the weekend; he's now living with his friend in his
bachelor pad"
"Really,
what did he do or had your Father just had enough"
"My
Mum hurt her back on Friday at her Zumba class, she could barely walk but my
brother still had her waiting on him hand and foot and when my Dad got home
from his business trip on Saturday and found out he went mad, threw him out
there and then and now my Mum won't talk to my Dad"
"Seems
your brother can do no wrong in your Mothers eye's"
"Oh
yeah" Tia agreed "he could be a serial killer and he could still
couldn't do anything wrong"
Their
dinner arrived and they ate whilst taking about other food they liked and
chatted about other interests and hobbies
"Wow
I love that show, I was really bummed out when CSI was cancelled" Oliver
told Tia
"I
know that was so unfair and then Nick didn't comeback for the final episodes,
but we did get Grissom back which made up for it"
"Oh
I loved all his one lines before the opening credits"
"Me
too, I hated when he left but they always managed to cast in another character
who really fit in".
They carried on chatting about nonsense
before Oliver took Tia home,
"I
had fun tonight" he told her
"Me
too" Tia smiled
"I
would love to see you again, can I take you out again next week"
"Sure,
maybe we could go out for lunch, then for a walk"
"That's
sounds great, I know a great little lunch place" Oliver said. There was an
awkward silence between them,
"I'm
going to go inside, it's getting late" Tia said
"Ok
I'm will give you a call about lunch next week" Oliver stepped towards
her, he leaned in and kissed her. Tia sank in to it and but her arms around
him, it was deep and passionate and enjoyable. Oliver and pulled away and
smiled at Tia
"I'll
see you next week" He told her before leaving. He walked down the road,
Tia watched, Oliver turned and gave her a little wave before turning around the
corner.
"Hey I'm back" Tia shouted as she
walked through the door
"How
did it go" Nina asked
"Really
well, we talked and got to know one another, we are seeing each other again
next week"
"Really,
any kissing"
"Nina,
why is it always about sex with you"
"I
only asked if you kissed" Nina sat on the sofa
"Well
a little" Tia smiled
"Ohh,
how was it"
"It
was really, really, really, really, really, really nice, all I want to do is
kiss him again and again and again"
The
buzzer for the flat went off,
"Hello"
Tia said
"Hey
it's me, I forgot something" Oliver's voice said over the intercom, Tia
buzzed him up,
"Hey
what did you forget" Tia asked Oliver as he stood in the doorway
"This"
he grabbed her and kissed her again
"Whoop,
Whoop go Tia" Nina yelled, they both looked at her "I'll be in my
room" she got up and walked down the hall, Oliver kissed Tia again.
They
had lunch the following week and went and many more dates after that, after a
while they had their first sleepover,
"Oh
my god, Oliver that was amazing" Tia breathed heavily, Oliver lied next to
her in bed
"I'm
glad you enjoyed it" he turned on his side and began stroking her skin “I'm
glad I met you" he kissed her and then kissed her again, she pulled him on
top of her and moaned with pleasure.
"What are you doing" Oliver
flirted as he stood watching Tia in the kitchen
"I'm
making us something to eat" she told him smiling, he walked over to her
and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her shoulder
"I'm
back" Nina said as she walked through the door "oh sorry, I didn't
realise you where busy" she smiled, Oliver blushed
"I'll
be in the bedroom" he told Tia
"So
things are defiantly getting serious are they" Nina teased
"Nina
don't talk like that, we've been dating for a while it was bound to happen
sooner or later"
"I'm
so happy for you, see you in the morning" Nina swept down the hall to her
room, Tia picked up the sandwiches she had made and took them through to her
room.
"I
can't believe it's the Anniversary show tonight" Nina was getting all
excited as the day of The Brian Kessler Live Anniversary Show arrived
"Thank you so much for getting me a ticket" Nina gave Tia a hug
"You're
welcome; you have to be there by 5pm remember"
"Why
the show doesn't start until 7"
"Nina,
we have to seat the audience before the show starts and it takes a few hours,
if you're late there is not getting in, it's not like a cinema you know"
Tia told her, she was packing her lunch into her bag
"Ok
I'll be there by 5" Nina sat on the sofa and started to flick through a
magazine "Oh is it true that Oliver Westmont is on the show tonight"
"Yes
he is" Tia replied
"Oh
I love his books, he his such a good author"
"I
know I can't believe his new book is out next week, I can't wait" Tia
looked at the clock "right I have to go, I will see you later and please
be on your best behaviour"
"What!
I'm always on my best behaviour" Nina protested
"The
Michael Buble concert"
"What,
I was only trying to give him a hug"
"Nina
you were trying to get it on with him"
"So,
anyone would"
"Whilst
he was performing, in front of his wife"
"Yeah
that was a good night" Nina said thinking back
"Ok
I've got to go, see you soon" Tia left and headed to work.
"Ok
good your here, dump your stuff, I need to head to the shops for some
individual needs for the guests" Linda said as Tia walked into the studio
"here's the list, the money and take Ginny with you"
"It's
only 9am and your stressed"
"Well
one of the real life story guests is driving me insane, she is so bloody
demanding, she seems to think that just because she miraculously came out of
the worse car crash the M25 has ever seen unharmed she now Queen B" Linda
signed
"Oh
god, this is going to be a long day" Tia left to find Ginny who was in the
locker room
"Morning
Ginny" Tia shoved her stuff into her locker
"Morning"
Ginny looked up
"I
need you to do a shop run with me" Tia told her
"Sure,
got the list" Ginny took the list Tia handed her "wow that's one hell
of a list, who could be so demanding"
"One
of the real life story guests" Tia told her, she spotted a book on the
bench by Ginny
"Is
that Oliver Westmont's new book"
"Yes,
and it's so good, I've only read the first couple of pages but it's good, the
show left some in the staff room for us to have a look at" Ginny handed
Tia the book
"Great
let's have a read" Tia started reading as they left to run errands for the
show.
They walked to the nearest Waitrose and
collected everything they needed,
"Tia,
you seem quiet, what's up" Ginny asked
"It's
this book, it's everything that's happened between me and my boyfriend, my
mugging, bumping into him in John Lewis, our dinner date, the names are
different but it practically the same, though the holiday is new" Tia told
here
"Wait,
you told me his name is Oliver right"
"Where
are you going with this" Tia asked
"Is
he Oliver Westmont" Ginny asked
"What,
no, I mean I don't know, you know what, I have no idea what his name his last
name is"
"Really,
we need to find this author and find out who he is and how he knows about your
relationship"
They
arrived back and Tia took Oliver Westmont what he had asked for, she waited
outside the door as she could hear he was on the phone, she recognised his
voice and knew it was him but still she knocked
"Come
in" Oliver said, Tia walked in
"Oliver,
it is you" Tia said as she saw him
"Tia,
surprise" Oliver said, Tia put his water on the table and she turned to
leave the room
"Tia
are you ok, I'm sorry I didn't tell you who I really am, but everything else I
told you is true"
"I'm
sure it is, but the main thing I want to know is; how could you write about our
relationship in your new book" Tia confronted him
"You've
read the book, it's not meant to be out until next week"
"The
producer but a few copies in our staff room to have a look at" Tia told
him
"Tia
I'm so sorry, I was going to tell you..."
"When"
she asked "after it was published"
"Tia,
I was , before it was published, but my agent loved it that much that he wanted
it published immediately, I've got so many last minute talk shows to be doing,
I was hoping to tell you today, I had no idea your boss was going to put some
in the staff room" Oliver tried to explain
"Why
didn't you tell me who you where from the beginning" Tia asked
"Because
my last two girlfriends only dated me for my money, they weren't interested in
the real me"
"Why
did you write about our relationship, it was meant to be private" Tia
started to cry
"Tia
please don't cry, you inspired me, I'm that crazy about you that you are all
I've been able to write about, think about, talk about" he looked at her
and took her hand "Tia I'm sorry but I was heading towards my dead line so
fast and nothing new had come to mind so I changed the names, changed the jobs
and added in a few things that never happened between us and sent it in, I had
no idea that it would be published so fast" he cupped her face in his
hands "Tia I tried to stop it but my agent refused, I am really sorry I
never meant for you to find out this way"
"Tia
there you are, Kessler is looking for you, he needs you get his lunch"
Linda put her head around the door "Is everything alright" she asked
"Yes,
I need to get back to work" Tia told Oliver and left the room, Linda
looked at him
"Tia's
the girl you wrote about then"
"How
do you know that" Oliver asked
"It's
so obvious, there is so much passion for your main character Tallia" Linda
left the room. Oliver sighed and slumped into the chair in his dressing room.
Tia
headed towards Kessler’s dressing room,
“Ah
there you are, get me a Big Mac from McDonalds and get yourself something too,
I’m in the best of moods today, 20 years my show’s been going, 20 years”
Kessler looked at Tia “Are you alright”
“Yes,
yes, I’m fine, em, what drink did you want with your Big Mac” Tia asked
“Capperchino
please”
“I
will be as fast as I can” Tia turned and left the room
“Tia”
Linda called after her as she walked though the car park
“Yes
Linda”
“Oliver
Westmont wants you to get him a sandwich from Greggs, Chicken Tikka and a Coke
to go with it” Linda handed her the money
“Sure”
Tia took it and walked away.
Tia sat in the staff room eating the
McDonalds Kessler had bought her, she didn’t know what to do, she liked Oliver
so much and knew she was falling in love with him, but felt so hurt he could
write about their relationship like that, Holly sat next to her
“Ginny
told me what happened between you and Oliver” she told her
“I
take it everyone knows”
“They
sure do, Kessler thinks it will be a great topic to talk about in terms of inspiration
for the show” Holly told Tia
“Great
just what I need, to be embarrassed even more”
“Come
on Tia, this guy is that into you, your all he wants to write about, yes he
should have told you but I think it’s so sweet, you shouldn’t be that mad at
him”
“Tia
there you are” Linda came into the staff room “the band Lights Out are in need
of some more water and one of them needs you to run out and get some Pringles,
go see them and see what else they need before you go running about” Linda gave
Tia a notepad “Oh and be warned they can have you running around for hours” Tia
left the room and headed to the bands dressing room,
“Tia,
there you are, can we talk please” Oliver came out of his dressing room
“Can
we talk later Oliver, I’m about to have a band run me round raggered” Tia gave
him a smile
“I
am really sorry, I should have told you what I was writing, I’m just so crazy
about you, I love you Tia” Oliver told her, Tia turned to answer but was interrupted
by one of the Lights Out band members
“You
the runner” a girl with pink hair asked
“Production
Assistant, Yes” Tia replied
“Great
we need more water, Pringles and dips” she told her
“What
flavours” Tia asked
“What?”
the pink haired girl asked
“What
flavour Pringles and dips would you like”
“Oh,
Original and salsa and hummus” Pink haired girl went back into her dressing room
where the rest of the band where chatting and jamming away
“Did
you asked for beers” a man’s voice came from the room
“Oh
and get us some beers, Fosters and Carling preferable” Pink haired girl shouted
out of the closing door
“I’ll
let you get back to work” Oliver told her as she turned to face him, Tia smiled
weakly
“I’ll
catch up with you later” Tia went to the staff room to get some money from
Linda and asked Ginny to come with her to help her carry everything back.
“What, he said that, he actually said he
loves you” Ginny shrieked as Tia told her what Oliver had said
“Yes
he did” Tia put a few cases of beer in the trolley they were using at the
supermarket
“The
actual words ‘I Love You’”
“Yes
Ginny”
“Wow,
what did you say back” Ginny asked
“I
didn’t get chance too; the pinked haired singer from Lights Out interrupted us”
“Oh
come on, what a dumb ass” Ginny replied
“I
know right, anyway I need to head to the fridge section to get some hummus then
I think we have everything” Tia said looking at her list
“So
how do you feel, what do you want to say to him” Ginny asked
“I....I
Love him too” Tia admitted to Ginny and herself
“Oh
wow, Tia that is so great”
“I
know and I can forgive him for what happened today, I do wish he had told me
before he had sent the book off though, but that is now in the past”
“Of
course it is, and I agree, I would have hated to have someone write something
about me and then publish it without my knowledge, but oh my god you are in
love with Oliver Westmont, that is so cool” Ginny got a bit excited
“Calm
down Ginny and help me carry all this back” Tia finished paying and carried all
the shopping back to the studios.
“Oh
great thank you” Pink haired girl said as Tia and Ginny came into the dressing
room with the shopping
“Beer
girls, thanks a lot” A man old enough to be their dad dressed like a 20 year
old grabbed for a beer
“This
is Derek our new drummer” Pink haired girl said “and I’m Janice”
“Nice
to meet you, if you need anything else let us know” Tia replied
“Will
do, Derek don’t get to drunk, we still have rehearsals and the show to do yet”
Tia and Ginny herd Janice say as they left the room, Tia knocked on Oliver’s
door
“He’s
on set with Kessler” Holly told her “They are doing a run though of their
segment”
“Thanks
Holly”
“Is
everything ok” Holly asked
“Yes
its fine” Tia replied
“He
told her he loves her” Ginny blurted out
“Ginny”
Tia expressed
“Sorry
I’m too excited over it” she walked off with the biggest smile
“Tia
is this true” Holly asked
“Yes
that’s why I need to find him” she walked off to the studio.
Tia
stood at the side of the studio, the lights where already on and were burning
hot above the stage, she watched as Oliver spoke to Kessler not knowing what
they were saying
“So
the two main characters are madly in love and so passionate about each other
that nothing can come between them, even with the mugger wanting revenge on
being arrested” Oliver was telling him, they sat down on the chairs that where
set out on the stage,
“Now
is any of this taken from any real life experiences because there seems to be
so much of yourself in Oscar, one of the main characters” Kessler asked
“My
personal life is not up for discussion Kessler” Oliver told him
“Ok
come on, the viewers love a good juicy story and rumour has it, a lot of this
is based on your relationship with your current girlfriend” Kessler teased, Tia
froze listening, was Oliver really going to talk about their relationship live
on TV
“My
current relationship is not up for discussion Kessler I’ve told you this, my
private life is to remain private”
“Oh
alright” Kessler gave in “Is it true she is one of our Production Assistants”
“Kessler”
“Sorry,
sorry, sorry, there’s just so many rumours going around the show today” Kessler
apologised “so we will talk about the book, the upcoming launch, where people
can buy it and the next sequel to the Lightsteam Series” they stood up and
started to walk Tia’s way, she quickly ran off out of the building.
She lent against the wall and breathed
deeply, she couldn’t believe that Oliver wasn’t going to talk about their relationship
on the show, she smiled knowing that he was the guy she had fallen for, yes he
had written about their relationship but no one really knew it was about her,
only people she worked with and he was going to tell before it was published,
if only his agent hadn’t rushed things,
“Hey
Tia” a voice startled her out of her thought process
“Nina
what are you doing here, people don’t start queuing for another hour yet” Tia
replied to Nina who had just shown up
“Well,
I wanted to make sure I get a front row seat, and have you told Brian Kessler
about me” Nina asked hopefully
“No,
the only time I speak to him is when he needs something” the door opened behind
them
“Oh
I found her Oliver” Brian Kessler and Oliver walked out of the door
“Tia
there you are, I heard you where looking for me” Oliver said taking Tia’s
hands, Nina walked up to Kessler
“Hi
I’m Nina” she extended her hand
“Brain
Kessler, are you here to see you show” Kessler took Nina’s hand
“Yes,
but it looks like I’m a little early, how silly of me”
“You
did it on purpose” Tia interrupted
“Not
now Tia” Nina laughed nervously
“Well
how about a cup of coffee in my dressing room whilst we wait for the other audience
members to arrive” Kessler offered having taking a liking to Nina
“I
would love to” she replied, Kessler showed Nina into the building leaving Tia
and Oliver alone
“Well
that was weird” Tia said looking bewildered “did you have something to say” she
asked Oliver
“Yes,
I just wanted to let you know that I will not be talking about our relationship
on the show, I have already told Kessler during our run through, and I should
never have written about our relationship”
“Oliver
it’s ok, I over reacted a bit, I should have listened to you sooner and it
feel’s kind of nice to have inspired you and thank you for telling Kessler not
to talk about our relationship, it means a lot to me, I love you Oliver” Tia
finally said the words she had admitted to herself earlier that day, Oliver
kissed her passionately and held her close
“Let’s
go to my dressing room” he told her and led her back into the building.
“Wow
that is something I have never done before, I really hope I don’t get in
trouble” Tia said as she and Oliver emerged from Oliver’s dressing room a while
later,
“If
you do then it was worth it” Oliver hugged her from behind
“Hmm
I know”
“Tia
there you are” Holly approached her “did you know that Nina is currently
getting it on with Kessler in his dressing room, when did she get here”
“About
an hour ago, Kessler invited her in for coffee when they met outside”
“Well
can you please get rid of her for now, Carl is going to go mad if Kessler isn’t
ready on time”
“Sure,
but remember she will be in the audience” Tia reminded Holly
“Oh
god, I forgot, man tonight is going to be interesting” Holly walked off , Tia
and Oliver looked at each other and giggled
“Yep,
tonight is defiantly going to be interesting” Tia smiled before walking into Kessler’s
dressing room and leading Nina out.
