Ten
It
took Fifi months to plan the Krygon attack, primarily due to getting in contact
with them, which she finally managed to do and struck up a deal. She also had
to gain access to the Planet's Protective Shield to deactivate it. She spent
ages looking at the plans to the building and platting how to get inside. Soon
everything was ready all she had to do was wait.
Antonia
had completed her initial training, by this point more Gifted women had come
forwards and joined the AMF to start their training,
"I
can't believe all these women are Gifted its great not being the only one"
Antonia told Luke as they finished a training session, they had been in the
Hatchback Simulator battling simulated Voxhalls
"I
know, I'm surprised so many women have come forwards so soon, I thought it
would take a lot longer than this" he pulled Antonia close and kissed her
"you're an inspiration to them Antonia, it's because of you they've all come
forwards" he kissed her again
"Oh
Luke you really know how to flatter me don't you"
"It's
true and don't you forget it"
"Luke
Antonia, there's been and breach at the Planet's Protective Shield" Crystal
told them over their communication
"Ok
Crystal we'll check it out" Luke replied. They both made their way down to
the entrance of the Planet's Protective Shield, it was located a few miles into
the desert. The door was hidden as a rock. Luke examined it, it was fully
locked and hadn't been tampered with, he scanned for finger prints, there were
none. A scanner then scanned his eye and the door automatically opened
"No
one ever touches the door it's how we find out if it's been tampered with"
Luke told Antonia. They stepped inside and the door shut behind them. They
walked down a staircase and along a very long tunnel. Luke scanned for life
signs but nothing but his and Antonia's showed up,
"There's
no one down here, no others but us" Luke told Antonia "better check
the shield just in case" he lead her down to the end of the tunnel into a
large circle concrete room where a metal desk stood in the middle with a
hologram of the planet hovering above it. Luke checked the computers and
scanned for
"Nothing's
been touched or tampered with"
"Well
I've got a bad feeling about this, just because there's no evidence that
someone's been down here doesn't mean no one has, for all we know it could have
been a Gifted person we don't know about" Antonia stated
"I
think we need someone outside the door just in case" Luke looked at
Antonia then called Crystal
"Crystal,
there's no one here, and nothings been touched or tampered with but something
doesn't feel right, I think we need someone on the door keeping guard"
"Ok
Luke, I'll send someone down right now, don't leave before they get there"
Crystal said
"Send
one gifted and one soldier, I'm not taking any chances" Luke told her.
Luke and Antonia waited outside, the sun
was hot on their heads, Luke passed Antonia a flask of water
"Here
beautiful, drink this"
"Thanks
sweetie" she took and few sips as a military hover craft approached, two
men stepped out and walked over to them
"Private
Hans, glad you could make it, Archie good to see you"
"Sorry
it took us so long, General Alcatech gave us a few extra weapons" Private
Hans said
"It's
ok, just glad you could make it, I'll work out a shift pattern when we get
back" Luke told him
"Ok,
here take the Hover Craft it will be faster" Private Hans handed Luke the
keys
"Great
see you later, come on Antonia lets you back" he turned to look at her but
got a little surprise
"You
can turn yourself to ice"
"Apparently
so, yeah" she walked towards the Hover Craft whilst turning back to
normal.
Back at the base Luke and Crystal worked
out a shift pattern of who would guard the planet's protective shield, when and
for how long.
"I
don't believe it" Fifi stormed into her Mother's room,
"What
is it honey" Mrs Epson asked as she put her book down,
"The
AMF has put guards on the entrance of the Planet's Protective Shield" Fifi
expressed "it's totally messed up my plans, I don't know how long I've got
until the Krygon's get here, I need to find a way to get that shield
deactivated"
"Kill
whoever at the entrance at the time"
"Mum
you're a genius, why didn't I think of that"
"Because
you're too interested in killing Antonia" Mrs Epson said,
"God
I hate that bitch, I can't wait until they get here and that, thing will be
dead" Fifi said angrily,
"All
in good time honey, all in good time" Mrs Epson went back to her book
"Thanks,
great talk Mum" Fifi left the room.
"Ok
you can turn yourself to ice, you can turn yourself to ice" Luke kept
saying as they entered Luke's home
"I
had no idea I could do that, I felt dehydrated in the sun and my body just
turned, it's a good thing my ice doesn't melt" Antonia replied
"Well,
let's see I can change that" Luke grabbed Antonia and passionately kissed
her on the stairs,
"Not
interrupting anything am I" Seraphina said coming down the stairs
"Hi
Mum, how are you"
"I'm
fine thank you darling but your Fathers been called away to the Senate by
Senator Bax in a week's time, so we will be away for a few days. Will you be ok
taking your Father's place whilst we are away, General Alcatech will be around
if you any help"
"Mum
don't worry I will be fine" Luke told his Mother
"Great,
I will see you at dinner, Antonia good to see you"
"Good
to see you too Mrs Homestead" Luke and Antonia went up to Luke's room.
"That's
so great, you get to run the Planet, that should be great practice"
Antonia put her arms around Luke's neck
"Yeah
should be good, I've never done it before but I have worked with him so it
should be good to try it by myself" he put his arms around her waist and
kissed her softly and pulling her into bed.
